Our stay was four days and it was adequate but the elevator was so dirty on the inside walls and buttons. You would think with Covid they would keep it clean, but it was so marked up with hand prints and dirt we had to bring a paper towel on the elevator with us each time. No hand sanitizer was available in the lobby. The rooms were fairly clean but our floor was sticky. I also had to ask for shampoo the following day and leave a note so they would replenish. There was no conditioner and no hair dryer. The shower curtain was a bit molding in the corners on the bottom. The shower had hot water and the water pressure was great. They provided a newspaper everyday, but no breakfast due to Covid. Other hotels have been providing breakfast in a take out fashion. I was surprised they didn't give you a banana or orange and some sort of prepackaged danish. For a small town it was ok, but nothing to rave about.

Spotless facility and friendly staff. Great value. Room was fresh, clean and well maintained. Bathroom was spotless with steaming hot water. Previous reviews complained about the train track near by. We are used to it, so it didn't bother us. The staff allowed us to check in early. Will stay there again when we are in the area

Our son lives in Soddy-Daisy and we decided it was not worth paying the higher hotel rates in Hixson when we visit him since we spend so little time in the hotel. Hometown Inn was a perfect solution - close to my son's home, clean, and lower prices than chain hotels. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We had booked a room online and upon checking in, the clerk redid the reservation at a lower rate. We will choose this as our place to stay on subsequent visits;

Marsha was so sincere and accommodating. We came for a fishing tournament in Dayton. She helped us get the last room in the area. The breakfast bar is minimal. Pastries, cereal with milk, waffles; newspaper. I would skip breakfast here. Rooms are clean. We opened our door to fresh air. Only downfall, not a 24-7 place. After hours, you gotta ring a bell.

This is the only hotel in Soddy Daisy so this was our only choice. Pros: clean, updated room with mini fridge and microwave and Direct TV. Modest free breakfast. Very helpful woman at the desk when we checked in the first night. Cons: No pool, no public bathroom on the first floor, no high chair in the breakfast room, and no iron/ironing board in the room (had to get one from front desk) I would stay here again if there was nothing else available but I would rather stay somewhere with the standard amenities.
