We visited the resort for a Mother's Day weekend getaway and had an amazing time. The food and service greatly exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed hiking down to see Carmac Falls. Our room was clean and a good size with a balcony that looked out onto a forested area.

My husband secretly booked us a weekend at Evins Mills to celebrate our anniversary. I had no idea where we were going. It is beautiful, rustic and comfortable. We stayed in Lawrence 2 which had 2 chairs with a small table in between, a king foam mattress bed, 2 nightstands, a small tv mounted on the wall, a little fridge, a little nook to hang your clothes, a heater/AC unit, several windows, a coffee station and extra linens. The doors lock automatically so you carry you key with you everywhere. In addition, there is a chain lock. There is good unsecured wi-fi. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink, vent and plenty of hooks to hang your towels. You can sit out on a private balcony and look out over the creek and the sound is magnificent! Even though there are other rooms in the same building, it feels very private. There are a lot of stairs to the cabins but it is only a short walk to the trail heads, the mill and the main building. Just across a fun bridge, the mill is now home to a baby grand that was in tune, a ping pong table, darts, comfortable seating, restrooms, corn hole and foosball. A few steps from the cabin is the main building with an expansive porch furnished with bench swings, rocking chairs, an old grind stone in the wall, a boot scraper and beautiful string and rope lights. Just up the stairs from that is where the food and beverages are served. The beverage station remains stocked and available all day and night. It includes, hot water, coffee, a selection of hot teas, lemonade, iced tea and ice. This is where hors d'oeuvres and breakfast are offered as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Servers, bartenders, housekeepers, maintenance and desk clerks were all very kind and warm! A few feet from there are two cozy dining areas, both with big beautiful fireplaces. This is where breakfast and dinner are eaten. Breakfast is a buffet with something for everyone, including vegetarians. Lunch is packed out each day. You give your lunch order at breakfast and pick it up later. The vegetarian option was fabulous! Both nights, our dinner was fantastic! We were very impressed by the chef! We hiked to the overlook on the North Trail and to the waterfall on the South Trail. Both were fun. We are fit and hill regularly. We were happy to be wearing proper hiking boots for the South Trail to the waterfall and swimming hole. Both trails go right up to the edge of some cliffs with drop offs that would be difficult to survive if anyone slipped. There are ropes and anchors to assist on the trail to the waterfall. Some of the anchors wiggle and some of the T posts holding the ropes also wiggle. There are signs that say you are hiking at your own risk. Once you get down by the waterfall, you are rewarded with a beautiful view and can feel and smell the mist coming off of the falls. Going back up the trail is not as difficult as coming down and I was grateful for the ropes and anchors. Each trail took less than an hour and we were meandering and taking our sweet time. Both were worth going! This is the perfect place to RELAX and chill! There is no time wasted parking, driving, waiting for a table or anything like that so the days seemed very long, in a good way!…

Enjoyed a lovely week-end at Evins Mill for a wedding. The accommodations were clean; bed comfortable and food was fabulous. Still dreaming about the fruit-stuffed chicken breast. They were very accommodating to last-minute decisions on holding the wedding outdoors. Our room overlooked the creek, and we enjoyed sitting outside reading. Recommended.

Our stay far exceeded our expectations! We planned a quick fall getaway and found this via Google search and seemed like it might be overpriced. However, once we arrived in the beautiful setting with the leaves changing we were instantly won over. The rooms are charming, the staff is friendly, the included meals were delicious and plentiful, the hikes were great, and the other amenities like the Grist Mill were also fun. The hike to the Carmac Falls is well worth it if you can make the trek. We definitely plan to return!

Just returned from a 2 day stay at this wonderful resort recommended by friends. What can we say? Awesome! First, we loved our accommodations. The room is spacious with our own balcony and rocking chairs overlooking the woods. The bed was comfortable and towels were very thick and luxurious. We also enjoyed the comfortable common areas to meet with our friends. Can't say enough about the meals! Breakfast offered delicious choices each day. Some of our favorites were the bacon, fresh fruit and french toast with spiced apples and fresh whipped cream. Each day of our stay we received a very hearty lunch with a sandwich or wrap with a pasta salad, chips, cookies, fresh fruit, and water. So nice to have this as we went out on our hikes. Dinners were delicious. The chefs Jason and Jessie served steaks cooked perfectly! Loved the special bacon jam and horseradish butter that came with the steaks. Really enjoyed the various servers ... Ketha, Conner, and Laiza for their making our meal times enjoyable! In the evenings we enjoyed the game room and walking the grounds. The hike to Carmac falls is worth it! We look forward to future visits here. …

We absolutely enjoyed our stay!! The room, grounds, waterfall and the delicious meals were amazing!! A much needed getaway that had everything you needed! Everyone was very warm and welcoming... Will definitely be back! Take time to hike the trail to the falls… it is so worth it !

My husband and I stayed here in August 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in Mountain Laurel Webb, which is on the creek side top floor. The cabin was perfectly cozy and the atmosphere was quaint. The food was other-worldly - truly no other way to describe it. Having meals included made for a less stressful stay and gave us the time to explore the beautiful scenery. Carmac Falls was a real treat. I highly recommend Evins Mill for a quiet getaway - without question, it is worth every penny!

We had a wonderful relaxing adventure at the mill. The cabin was adorable, the bed was amazing, the people were welcoming and genuinely happy to help and serve! The dinner was spectacular, breakfast hearty and tasty, and our sack lunch was above and beyond. We loved our time and want to return for a fall view and then again for a winter view. Thank you.

Staff was very friendly. Very helpful with gluten sensitivity. Food was delicious! Even though it was very wooded, it wasn’t buggy and I didn’t see one of mosquito! Beautiful property, and well maintained too. We’re particular and the bed and linens were very comfortable! The solstice lodge is less than 5 min walk, on boardwalk through the woods, to get to the hotel lobby and restaurant. Tina was Extra helpful and SO nice. We’ll definitely be back!!!
