The Historic Central Hotel was built in the late 1800's on the public square in Sevierville, TN. In 1923, the Hotel was destroyed by fire, and was rebuilt in 1938. President Roosevelt often stayed at the hotel in the 1940's and during his trip in 1941, he dedicated the Great Smoky Mountains as a National Park. Today it is America's most visited National Park. During the 1960's, the hotel was converted to a bank to service the growing downtown business landscape. Today, the hotel brings back the charm of its original state with large resort-style accommodations and all the amenities you would expect from a New Hotel Collection property.

This was our second time to stay here. We really love the rooms. Staff is friendly especially Shannon Franklin who went up an above to help us with replacement of batteries in the remote and great conversation about the area and facility. The rooms are spacious, clean and we love the location. The only thing my wife would like since the showers are rain shower type is that shower caps would be provided as an amenity because for most women they are truly a necessity. Otherwise a truly great place to stay.

Spent several nights on opening week at this newly renovated 100+ year old hotel and it was fantastic. Being very close to all of the amenities of the Smoky Mountains area plus elegantly appointed suites made this a stay to remember :-D

Parking was easy and convenient, check-in was hassle free and the rooms were accessible. The staff was very accommodating in every way. Hailey, in particular, was fantastic and went above and beyond several times to make sure that the stay was as comfortable as possible!

I will definitely be staying here again when I'm in the area!

I had the pleasure of staying at this fine historic hotel. The room/apartments are very clean and well done. The full kitchen was very nice to have as we could buy full size items and store them in the fridge. Had an issue and needed to do a load of laundry no problem laundry soap was provided. Thank you to the Staff Kimberly and Shook. They wanted to know what they could do better for next time. My answer was nothing.

This hotel has a tremendous amount of potential as the people who designed and decorated each room had impeccable taste and our 2x bedroom suite, room number #2203 was absolutely beautiful, clean and properly sanitized given the Covid-19 world that we live in today. This hotel is perfect for those that are wanting to enjoy everything that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer without being stuck in the middle of all the traffic in each of these places. Another nice touch was the fact that the resort contacted me the day before check in to welcome us and ask if we needed anything ticket/reservations wise (which is excellent customer service! Now for the reasons that I only rated this hotel at 3x stars. First off I booked my weeklong stay through AFVC and had my fully paid voucher in hand. Upon check-in I was charged an additional $210.00 for which I still have no idea what that charge was for seeing as there was nothing on AFVC's website indicating that an additional $210.00 would be necessary which for many people it could affect their ability to have funds to enjoy the surrounding areas getting blindsided like that. I didn't argue it though after a 12x hour drive with 3x kids in the back seat. Next is that the suite absolutely needs a dinner table and 4x chairs which could easily be placed up in the front room near the entrance to the suite. The room states that it sleeps 6x people but with 2x of those people sleeping on the love seat pullout couch that leaves only a single person chair to sit on. Lastly was the bed situation. While it mentions that the master bedroom has a queen sized bed, that was absolutely nowhere near any queen sized bed I've ever slept on. Also the bed was extremely uncomfortable to where my wife and I tossed and turned throughout each night. Additionally our bed didn't even have a fitted sheet so the mattress was exposed which isn't a major deal breaker for me but I've never seen that before in any hotel I've stayed in.

In closing, the issues that I outlined are completely fixable. The hotel itself is absolutely amazingly beautiful but needs simple fixes like a kitchen table with some chairs, comfortable mattresses and some fitted sheets. It's obvious they have poured a ton of money into this property to make it as wonderful as it is. Unfortunately without these changes I probably wouldn't stay here again because at the end of the day your there for the bed first and foremost which if it's not comfortable then nothing else matters, especially if there's nowhere to sit either.

The New Hotel Collection in Sevierville is part of our package with Arcadia Resorts. We were using one of our five weeks and booked this three months ago along with several other couples. We assumed that as this was our first experience using one of their resorts we would have a positive experience. My wife had called multiple times to make sure we would have a 'quiet' room and as recently as a few days before we had been told that we were getting a 2BR unit and expected it to be on the back side of the hotel.

When we arrived, my wife asked again and the front desk person was quite candid that this unit was definitely NOT quiet. We were on the 2nd floor facing Main Street and the noise was pretty constant with cars and motorcycles going all the time. There were at least three nights of our seven where we just could not sleep after 3 or 4 am. After 5am, just forget about it as the noise is constant until 8 or 9am.

This wouldn't have been so bad if we actually had been given the 2BR unit we were promised. But no. The 2nd room (it definitely was not a BR) had no windows no lamps, no closet and believe it or not, a trundle bed. Now if we had brought children, maybe it would be okay, but we are adults in our young 60's and that was just not a way to try and get rest. It was just ridiculous to be on vacation and not be able to sleep.

After the 2nd sleepless night we went to the front desk and they said "you have to call Arcadia". So we did. When we spoke with our representative at Arcadia, they asked if we had tried to work this out with the front desk. That was very frustrating and disappointing. They claimed they could not do anything to move us for any of the remaining 5 nights, but as we found out that was absolutely untrue. We spoke with another family who had the same problem and they were moved to the backside of the hotel. I hate being told something that isn't the case.

Now this is a smaller hotel, and I understand that they have limited options, but our friends who paid the exact same amount had a 3 bedroom unit, with a much better kitchen and a dining room. I was thrilled for them, but disappointed that we were unable to enjoy our unit the same way.

Now on the positive side, this is a very nice property and the flooring is very nice, and the kitchen and bath appliances are good. It's crazy that they go so cheap on other items though, as the towels, toilet paper, shampoos etc are befitting a 2 start place. The pricing on this is very reasonable, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why they don't put in proper bedding, lighting and maybe even a ceiling fan. It was so warm that the units A/C runs at 68-71 degrees which has to be very expensive. I'd rather pay $20 more per night and have a better experience.

I can't say I wouldn't stay here again, but I will be speaking with Arcadia in a few months and this will definitely be part of my conversation.

Thank you for taking time to share with us your experience. I wish to extend to you my sincerest apologies. Please know this is not our normal procedure. unfortunately, we did not have any room open to move you in to for 7 nights as we were at 100% occupancy. Also, friend of yours were in two bedroom as well just different layout as we do not have any identical rooms in this hotel. Please know it is always our goal to exceed our guests expectations and in this case we have fallen short and for that I am sorry.

Avoid this place!! Only good thing is restaurant which states they are not a part of hotel so you are not allowed to put your meals on your room. Floors were so dirty my brand new white socks were dirty within a couple of hours after walking around unit. Every day brand new pair white socks, dirty. No safety bars in showers. Second bathroom has toilet paper dispenser on side of sink cabinet where even a young child will struggle to use it. They left an entire blank wall, easy to reach, blank where toilet paper dispenser should go. "no stick' skillet so cheap the handle gets hot when you cook. Very few items in kitchen for me to use to cook. No pyrex. Little to no sound proofing in walls - very loud. Check in is substandard. The best employee was the maintenance guy who came out to repair the water filter in frig and handle on paper towel holder in kitchen. What a waste of my money.

Thank you for your feedback. We do like to apologies for your two legit complaints that we received after your check in which was water filter and walking around back to enter guest rooms. As we take employees and guest harassment very seriously we had an option to let you leave however, we did not take in to consideration as we wanted you to enjoy your stay of 7 nights. Our management also tried reaching out to you after contacting RCI vie room phone as well as cell phone. I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Our family stayed at this hotel last year and had a wonderful experience. We were excited to return. When we checked in we noticed there was only one full bedroom. There was a second room with no accessible closet that only a trundle bed would fit in. I called down immediately to ask for a new room. I was told there were no other available rooms. My husband and I were shocked that someone would try to pass this "room" as a bedroom. We were traveling with two small children, one of which requires a pack in play. The person on the phone said they would see what options they have and would call me back. She called back promptly and said we could either cancel without penalty or they would offer to credit us the $30 service fee/day. We had just traveled 12 hours to get here, where would we go?? I asked for the manager to which I was told no one was there. I asked for them to please call me. The following day the manager called me. I explained the situation and told her this was not acceptable and that we booked a two bedroom and had previously stayed in a two bedroom that was not like this. She told me she was shocked and wasn't sure what to say as she had never had this complaint. We went back and forth and clearly she had no interest in helping us resolve the situation. We had no choice but to stay in the "room". We had to roll the pack in play out each night very carefully (so as not to wake anyone) into the hall to give the kids some separation. It was an awful 3 nights of sleep. Not to mention the room was on the road and it is SOOOO loud. I found many reviews where others had the same issue. Ironically I found that the same manager had responded online to these reviews so claim that we were the first to mention this are a complete lie. A little transparency and honesty would have gone a long way!!

I regularly take CEOs/owners on trips and its important to have a property that is first class and keeps the spouses happy and within range of things todo while we work half days. This place is perfect. The rooms offer so much more than the average 5 star locations, its in a great location and the views (ask for them!) of the mountains are great. I love this place. We'll be bringing the group back! Everyone loved this place.

Went for spring break. It is not really a hotel, more like a condo. The hotel is still under construction so lots of equipment in parking areas and they started working at 7 everyday which was very loud and woke everyone up. People on our floor were smoking which was not allowed but it smelled the whole floor.

The mattresses are so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. Sheets and bedding were very uncomfortable and cheap. The 2nd bedroom had a trundle bed which wasn’t great. We had to bring a blow up mattresses for our 3rd child.

The decorations are nice and the concept is good just not really ready for customers yet and surprised they would go so cheap and low quality on mattresses and bedding.

Not worth the money. Next time I will get a standard hotel or rent a cabin.

We enjoyed our stay here. I do have to agree with another post that every morning it was either a drill or a hammer making lots of noise and this was around 7:30.

We enjoyed how roomy it was. Full size kitchen. Dining room. Mattress was comfy. A/C worked great.

We have paid much more for a small hotel room. But the $30 a day resort fee is a little much. No pool. Very old fashioned coffee pot using cone filters.

The hall bath had a nice size walk in shower but the only shower head is one at the top. Would be nice to have one coming from the side. Also around the bottom of the tile was orange looking stuff on the grout.

On our second day there we received a phone call from someone identifying themselves as the hotel concierge and they wanted us to attend a meeting where we would learn more about the history of the hotel and where we would learn how to stay at another of their properties for $300 a week. We declined.

Right now you have to enter to go to your room at the back. The parking places are small. And the construction workers frequently took up most of the spaces. The handicap spaces are in front of the hotel so it would be difficult for a handicapped person to park in front and then carry luggage to the back. The two luggage carriers they have are small. No rack at top to carry clothes on hangars. If you have a large vehicle like we do it’s best to park in front.

I wouldn’t mind staying there again when construction is complete. They seem to be setting it up for condos or timeshare.

One more nice feature is a washer and dryer in the suite.

Hi there Whitney, yes the kitchen has cups, plates and all of that but the beds were extremely uncomfortable. There is a coffee shop that shares space with the hotel so they get all of the parking reserved up in the front and guests have to park behind the hotel. Also room cleaning was only when we checked out but it was spotless when we arrived.
