Mountain Harbour is an awesome place. As a B&B or a full service hiker's hostel, it is amazing. The owners and operators are super friendly, accommodating, and pour their hearts into this service! I stayed in the Jefferson Room (5 star) and Isabel room as a AT section hiker. The situation and layout of the property are beautiful and refreshing,...

No detail overlooked. My husband and I stayed in the house, and our teen boys stayed in the hostel. We enjoyed the delicious and large breakfasts, clean accommodations, tasteful decor, and all the cool "extras" including cookies before bed, a large assortment of dvds and books, a jacuzzi (in the Jefferson Room), a small general store with hiking essentials, a...

We tented for a night at Mountain Harbour (where we had use of the hostel amenities, including the shower and laundry), and after many word of mouth recommendations to buy the breakfast, we ponied up the $12 per person. Absolutely worth it. Despite being only 500 miles into our thru-hike, I can reasonably guarantee that there will not be a...

I stayed here while my partner hiked a short piece of the AT. I launched him from Roan Mountain and enjoyed a short hike. I went to the B&B and enjoyed interacting with the people from the hiker's hostel there. They have a food truck till 6:00 which has very good food, quick. The house has it's own parking close...

We found Mountain Harbour to be the perfect spot to stop along the trail. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful with our many questions. We were greeted with homemade baked goods, tea and coffee upon our arrival, and ordered dinner of freshly grilled burgers and fries from the on site food truck. The next morning's breakfast was...

This place is a must stay for hikers and anyone visiting the area! We stayed in the B&B vs the hostel on April 5 and loved it! The breakfast is amazing! Never had Pierogies for breakfast! They were fantastic! Shannon, Dave and Mary were gracious hosts! Taking my wife back for a get away weekend in May!

The room was spacious with a refrigerator, microwave, TV, single day bed in addition to King bed and table & chairs. The common area had comfortable seating and a large screen TV. The bed had good linen, mattress and pillows and the food was simply amazing (snacks during the day and the best breakfast imaginable). Warm, friendly staff.

Our Venturing Crew (co-ed Scouting ages 14 - 20) planned a hike on the Appalachian Trail (AT) from Carver's Gap to US 19E in April 2017. Mountain Harbour hostel provided shuttle service to Carver's Gap, parking for our cars, useful advice about the AT, and after our trip was cut short due to a hiking accident and evacuation, overnight camping...

I spent two nights in the hiker hostel and had one pick-up & two drop-offs from the Mountain Harbour shuttle services. All of the services were very professional and friendly. Even though I was not participating in the 'Best breakfast on the Trail', I was encouraged to come up to the B&B for coffee before my final shuttle. On top...

Superior hiker hostel experience. Pillow and fresh linens in bunkhouse. Food trailer provides excellent thru hiker portions at a great price. Breakfast is superior. Short walk down 19E, left if NOBO. Babbling brook next to bunkhouse. Strong WIFI. B&B available in main house.
