We just spent the last few days at this beautiful historical boutique hotel in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. Yes, the bed was very comfortable, the water pressure in the warm shower was awesome, and the internet speed was perfect (three of our must haves), but the highlight was the breakfast and dinner menu; sweet cream crepes with sweet potato hash browns, wagyu beef hamburger with garlic mashed potatoes, quinoa and butternut squash, Mongolian beef, and so on. We are a carnivore-vegetarian marriage and both of us came away satisfied. They also have mineral baths and a variety of therapeutic tables to experience. The hotel is just over an hour from Nashville and Bowling Green, KY so we took an afternoon to visit the National Corvette Museum. Bringing some friends back next year.

We had the opportunity to stay at The Armour's Hotel during the summer of 2021. The Emery's hosted us to a beautiful week. The property is relaxing and beautiful. Our bed was comfortable. Breakfast was always delicious and warm. We sat around the fire pit and watched fire flies. I enjoyed the spa, soaking in the mineral water left me feeling very relaxed and refreshed. I enjoyed walking on the grounds, down to the creek at the back of the property and thru the nearby city park.

Debbie and Dennis make Amour shine like a diamond. I've stayed multiple times over the years for business and pleasure and the experience has been wonderful every time. I love the history, the charm, the quiet, the food, and most of all the warm hospitality. Oh, and Debbie's molasses cake is bound to start a riot if supply runs short! It's been a while since my last visit, but I'm hoping to go back very soon and introduce the new member of my family to this lovely place and it's loving family.

Spent the weekend just relaxing and enjoying the company of friends including the owners/staff. Wonderful breakfast & dinner served family style with enough to feed an army each meal. The staff were very accommodating with requests for extra card tables or ice or glasses. And the most wonderful touch was a snowflake note slipped under the door each morning letting us know that carafes of fresh coffee were waiting in the hallway. The weather was cold & miserable outside but we were snug as bugs in our rooms. Love this place and will return.

In the words of our hostess, "Red Boiling Springs has a lot to do for a little town with nothing going on". Debbie is part of the charm here. Very much happiest when taking care of guests. Always dressed in a cloche hat, scarf and vest: in costume. The house is festooned with lady's hats as well as antiques. Built in 1924, it was RBS' first brick building. It has changed hands several times, with Debbie and Dennis capturing it 11 years ago. It has been part of the 'healing waters' movement for the last 160 years. In the tradition of Kellog's health movement, and Saratoga, there are sulphurous mineral baths for guests. Dinner is an inexpensive option that is highly recommended: 1) it is home made Southern, and 2) there's not much else in RBS to eat. Breakfast filled up what remaining room we had. Biscuits, chocolate gravy (yes...), white gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, potato cakes, and fresh fruit sent us home without need to stop for lunch! Prices were very reasonable. Two suites on the front and have separate access to the capatious porch with a view of the creek. Nearly all of the streams in this area run clear with pebbled bottoms: none of the turbid, silty waters found elsewhere in the South and Midwest. Entertainment was plentiful. The Armour has live music on occasion. Speaking of music, there is a museum-quality "baby grand upright" piano in the front sitting area. You can touch this one, although not for long, in that it needs tuning. The library is welcoming with the kind of reads you'd like for vacation. It abounds in popular authors, and the hotel is sprinkled with love seats, coffee pots, and Saturday Evening Posts. The room was a little dark and was a little short on electric outlets. The shower was adequate but tended to the warm side rather than really hot. The bed was comfy and old-fashioned, with a net canopy at the head. Overall, a surprising and delightful B&B!

We got a two room suite that had a door out to the second story porch, which was nice. Dennis and Debbie treated us like royalty and she would sometimes join in the conversation at breakfast and dinner that they cooked for us. The food was great with generous portions. We stayed three nights, which was a nice escape from the much larger town we live in. There is a walkway across the street which follows a creek, a nice little hike. The hotel is beautifully decorated inside with lots of antiques; it's like stepping back in time.

As the Owners of The Armour's Hotel ... we were initially somewhat dismayed to see "one star" ratings from this recent customer. After a closer review, however, of this guest's more elaborate comments it is our suggestion that this guest simply misinterpreted the "star" rating system ... and while intending to give us a good review ... he or she interpreted "one star" as a complimentary assessment rather than giving us a 4 or 5 star rating in the various categories. Hopefully, potential future guests looking at Trip Advisor reviews will reach the same conclusion.

My husband and I stayed one night in this delightful hotel. It takes you back to days long gone. We did not have the opportunity to eat any of their home made meals since we arrived too late and had to leave at dawn, but there was coffee right outside our room to take with us. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a hotel from the past.

My wife and I just took a chance on this hotel. My sister had just passed and we needed a place to go for awhile. When we first got there we were a little suspect, but once we met dennis and debbie we just felt at home. It wasn't just the great food but the way they treated you. We both spent hours talking with Deb sharing thoughts and life concerns. What wonderful people and what a great stay.

We are certainly gratified that we were able to make our guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well fed. We try very hard to cater to the needs of all of our guests and to make their stay with us unique and memorable. We very much appreciate the kind and generous compliments and will continue to try and pamper all those who may choose to book a stay with us.

My husband and I stayed one night in the honeymoon suite on a spur-of-the-moment Anniversary trip. We ate supper, breakfast, did the mineral bath and massage. This was the first time we stayed in a B&B. The place is old and has antiques everywhere and the smell of the mineral water is apparent. They do a great job with it. The house is charming, but the people are the wonderful thing about this place. The mineral bath was relaxing. It was probably the best massage I’ve ever had. Belinda was the therapist and we both really loved her. The nice robes are great. At first I thought it was funny to be able to walk through the B&B wearing a robe, but everyone one is so laid back and everything so comfortable, I quickly realized there was nothing taboo about it. It was neat to have a family style breakfast with other travelers. The breakfast was unbelievable. It was a big southern breakfast and could not have been better. We had told them it was our anniversary so they prepared a special supper table for us and made it romantic. They made us feel like it’s their pleasure to go above and beyond to pamper and make us feel special. There were so many thoughtful details from hot tea and coffee in the upstairs hall to the happy Anniversary note under the door. I think normally supper is family style too. The food was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t believe everything they served us. They really made us feel at home. The grounds are nice too. We spend some time on the upper deck on the porch swing and it was very pleasant. The deck was just outside our room. We had a tv, shower, bath, two sinks and two toilets in our room and I mean right in our room. Everything is very old-timey and I liked it. They have WiFi, but it did not pick up well in the evening. But that’s fine. This is a place where it feels good to unplug. I loved our stay here. It was just one night, but the restfulness and peace I felt afterward felt as if we had been on a week’s vacation. It was a definitely a memorable and special place to visit and get some much needed r&r.

Stayed in the honeymoon suite on the night before July 4th this year, after some hard work moving furniture and such in the heat in my nearby hometown, which was also emotionally draining because it was items belonging to my father who passed earlier this year. Got in late but they waited up for me. The room was clean and so peaceful. Bathed in the ironclaw tub, relaxed and watched TV a while, great night's sleep. Breakfast was simple but filling and delicious. An hour on the second-story swing on the porch, watching the small creek flow and butterflies and birds, and the all of three vehicles that passed on the quiet Main Street...looking forward to getting back. Good for the soul.
