Quaint beautiful cabin! I have been renting cabins over the Holiday Season for the last 15 years and this cabin was by far the cleanest and and tastefully decorated. With the COVID-19 concerns, property management provided for the easiest non-contact check-in/out procedures. Both property management and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Note: This was a cabin,not a hotel and I could deleted the hotel ratings below. Highly recommend!
The reservations process was very easy. Was able to speak to friendly staff who answered all my questions with ease. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided reliable information. The cabin was breathtaking and was decked out in holiday décor (added bonus - wasn't expecting that). Check in/checkout process was hassle free. Can't wait to go back again!
We were in Eagles Ridge 834 for 5 nights. No problems to speak of. Parking was tight. One vehicle. No measuring cup and no instructions for the tv/dvd player. I wish we could say that everywhere we stayed.
I have stayed in MANY cabins in Pigeon Forge/Gatinburg/Seiverville and have compared this stay at Eagles Ridge Resort (HAPPY HAVEN) to the other cabins I have rented. I booked through VRBO. Everything viewed on the booking site and received stated that it was a 4:00 PM Check in. • I also received several emails/texts leading up to the trip stating that I would be receiving a text message when the cabin was ready for us with the access key code information. However, I could not believe that come 3:30 PM day of, I hadn’t received even a courtesy text letting me know that they were expecting me. When we were on our 5 hour drive, I was stressed out the entire time wondering if they forgot about us. I sent a message through the VRBO site at 3:30 asking about the information and never got a reply. We got to the cabin at 3:57 PM with no check in information. I called the receptionist number and was told o Receptionist: “You haven’t gotten a text message with check in information yet, because it’s not ready.” o Me: “Well, it’s 3 minutes until 4:00 PM” o Receptionist: “Well, our check in time is ANY TIME after 4:00 PM and we’re running a little behind because the person in that cabin had a late check out today.” o Me: “No – that’s not true, everything I booked stated check in was at 4:00 PM. And the late check out doesn’t seem to be the main cause here because I’m at the cabin and there is no one here cleaning it.” o Receptionist: “The agreement you signed stated this.” o Me: “oh so in the fine print? Not anywhere on the website or booking info? How in the world does someone plan a vacation when check in can be any time between 4PM – midnight? I am literally here with my two little children with no guarantee when I can get them in?” The conversation continued and only infuriated us more. They said their policy is anytime after 4PM and they have guests check in at 6PM all the time (per Angela). If that’s the case, then put 6PM on your check in -not 4PM. It’s very misleading. I also let Angela know that from booking via VRBO, that 4PM listed throughout and she said, “we’ll have to follow up with them, that’s not right.” Seriously? We had to push to get the cleaning people there as we sat in our car and waited. We were told that they would send 4 people so it could be done in 20 minutes (to which my husband replied “how do you drain, clean and refill a hot tub in 20 minutes?”). The cleaners showed up and there were only 2 and it took them 75 minutes! We sat and waited…….finally got into the cabin at 5:15 PM . I have NEVER had a cabin company tell us that the time was not guaranteed “by that time.” And never has it been after 4PM! This alone will prevent us from ever using Eagles Ridge Resort ever again! We need more customer care than this! When we tried to access the internet, we were having issues. I was copying and pasting the code directly from the email I received upon check in. I called the dispatcher and they sent someone immediately to assist us. When he arrived, he pointed out the wifi code on the actual modem and it was 2 letters/spaces different than what we emailed to me. Goes to show they are lacking on details! Other Cons: • WAY too close to neighbors! • No view! • Minimal Utensils – no whisk, oven mit, skillet • Dirty dishes that were in the cabinets (especially the coffee mugs were disgusting) • Sheets had hairs all over them (specifically on the basement bed) I had to rewash them before our kids slept in it. • Mismatched silverware and plateware (only one large coffee mug, only 2 small forks and a few large forks) • The trashcan needed a cover/lid • Would have preferred a wood fireplace (like we have in the other cabins we rent) the beds were SOOO Uncomfortable Pros: • Provided plenty of toiletpaper WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!…
We arrived on 12/20 at the Six Bear Lodge Cabin and Christmas Eve it started to snow! We woke up on Christmas Day to a beautiful Christmas morning. The staff of Eagle Resort had cleaned up the snow from the streets and we were able to get to the main road without any issues. The location of this cabin is excellent. If I could post some pictures, I would! On my next visit I will stay again at Eagles Ridge Resort.
