BEWARE! I booked a cabin in January for July stay. The day of the stay I received a phone call that the cabin I booked had sold so they were switching me to a different one, and I was being "upgraded". I booked a cabin with a beautiful, large kitchen. I received a tiny kitchen with hardly any work space - upgrade? More importantly, my son found a full prescription pill bottle and lighter underneath his bed. Their response - "hmmm, I don't even know what that (prescription) is for". They put my kids in danger, but considered it an upgrade? If you are booking for a family, you know that the layout of the cabin is an important consideration in your selection - it does not matter to the mgmt here. If you are bringing your kids with you, you want a clean, safe environment - that also does not matter to the mgmt here. Book elsewhere as I will do in the future.

Booked for the weekend. The pictures on their website (how I booked) showed my cabin to have a jacuzzi and a grill. Arrived at the cabin to see there was no grill and no jacuzzi. Called the staff they were rude and there was nothing they could do (they said they had changed the jacuzzi to shower months ago but hadn’t changed their website and also told me I should have to shower my 1 year old with me)They told me to call and talk to management on Monday. I called Monday and was told there was no manager there. She told me she would talk to them and call me right back. I never got a call back. This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND I HAVE THE PICTURES TO PROVE IT! Stay away from this awful company. Never again will I book through them and will tell all my family and friends what happened! Also the cabin was dirty and musty and needed repairs. Terrible car port too. The jacuzzi was the main reason we booked this cabin. We stayed in Honeymoon View 2.

Eight couples went to Black Bear Ridge resort for a conference. We stayed in Loose Moose. It was dated, under stocked, the roof leaked, toilets were loose, no propane for the fireplace (and it snowed and was very cold). Beds in the downstairs were uncomfortable and one had a large brown stain on the sheets where the roof had leaked. Not one pot big enough to make a pot of soup for a group. One of the coffee pots was broken, no bedside tables in the downstairs bedrooms, the step onto the outdoor staircase was two cynder blocks that rocked. You had to be VERY careful not to fall because of it. The dining room had 5 mismatched chairs and 4 bar stools that had tears in the leather. Only seating for 9 people in a cabin that sleeps 24 people. And the list goes on and on. Sad we had to stay in accomodations that were much less than we paid for.

Immediately inside the entrance to the right are stairs leading to the lower level. It was a very dangerous layout, and we were constantly reminding each other to remember that the floor is nonexistent right next to the door. The beds were very uncomfortable. They didn’t have any give to them. You might like them if you need a very firm bed. The bunk beds didn’t have mattresses. There was a very soft padding attached to boards. Our boys complained after trying to sleep on them the first night so I tried one. You sank right through the soft padding and just felt the board that you were laying on. I was going to move the boys to the fold out sofas, but they were equally uncomfortable. We ended up moving some people around to share the queen beds, but one grandson still ended up on the sofa on the main floor (not a fold out). The cabin is built on a mountain (I know, not uncommon when you’re visiting mountains) and the cabins in the resort appear to be stacked on top of each other as you go up the mountain. They are very close to each other. I chose this particular cabin because they accepted pets. When I took my dog out to walk, we had to go up or down. There were very few level spots. If you want a nice cabin big enough for a large family, try Seventh Heaven at Cabins at the Crossing. It’s not far behind the Tanger Outlet stores, and we were very comfortable there two years ago. Unfortunately, they do not accept pets.

Spent a week. Beautiful, but rails on deck need work, not safe at all. Should have been a powder room on the main floor not attached to bedroom. Rough having to go up or down stairs for bathroom while trying to spend time together on main level. Nothing can be done now, but if future construction is done, the deck should be bigger to allow gathering for more people. But all in all — very good!
