My husband and I go to Pigion Forge annually in November and have stayed many places. This one is definately a repeat stay. We had a King room with a balcony over the river. Room was clean and bathroom was very nice with double sinks and granate countertops. Staff was very sweet. The breakfast was great. Lobby is beautiful.
The Music Road Resort Hotel used to be our favorite place to stay for the money in the PF area. This stay was a bit different. Check in went fine, the young clerk was very cordial. Later arriving guests were left without luggage carts for a bit due to inconsiderate guests that didnt return the carts to the lobby after checking into their rooms. Staff checked hallways for carts at least twice in case guests just left them for staff to gather, but found none. When we arrived, there were at least six carts just inside the lobby entrance. No hot water was available in the room at arrival due to recent repairs. Bring your own USB charging blocks, unlike most hotels in the area, MRRH has not added lights or outlets with built in USB ports. Maybe even your own extension cord so you don’t have to reach behind the bedside table each time you charge your phone, tablet or laptop. Trying to hang up our clothes in the closet was difficult due to door glides that were evidently completely worn out, you had to lift up on the door and jiggle it to even get it to slide partially open. In prior visits, there was always an extra TP roll in the nook behind the bathroom door, this visit, there was none and other than new towels, you couldn’t tell housekeeping ever entered the room. The bed was never made up or linens changed until the fourth night by housekeeping. The king mattress was very broken down on the left edge and made noises anytime I moved throughout the night. Parking was plentiful and the rest of the building is still gorgeous. The hot tub by the indoor pool is still closed, due to covid I guess. I had to have my key cards reactivated twice, possibly because I kept them in the same pocket as my vehicle key fob? We’ve visited PF twice this year and both times housekeeping was subpar. We may have just as well stayed in a condo or cabin. Hopefully staffing levels will come back and return to pre covid excellence.…
Super clean and charming. We booked through a third party website and were a little confused when we showed up at the address we were given and then told we had to cross the street to stay at the Inn (versus the Resort). It was frustrating bc we had already unloaded our car and the front desk was not very kind or hospitable (we found this to be true of the front desk at both places for the PM shift on 11/21/22). Our room at the Inn was very clean, but outdated. The mattress (on the bedside table side) was worn for sure. The staff at the breakfast area and the desk staff during the day at the Inn were lovely and accommodating. For the price- 4/5.
Music road resort… We booked this hotel as a team over 2 months ago. We booked 15 or so rooms at 202 per night. No big deal. Well we traveled down here with 45+ people. We BOOKED A BLOCK!!!! To start we are all on different floors and in two separate buildings… We were unable to book a conference room as they were all taken. The sales lady Kimmy said it would be absolutely no problem to use the morning room. FANTASTIC!!! thank you so much for that comp!!! We get back to our hotel after our game and they said they had NO RECORD of this and we could not use the room!!! Wait what??? We have spent 5k on hotel rooms… I have 14 cheerleaders and all their FAMILIES…. Pizza is in route. food…. Months of preparation, over 1k spent on this party… they say nope you cant use it. There is a fee to use it I said COOL I WILL PAY DOUBLE to use it if I have to… they REFUSED. Then the ladies at the front desk tell us to set up in the common area… ok cool… so we set up… everyone is there. All my cheerleaders, then LISA the night shift manager comes on duty walking around with her cart I asked her if I could have a garbage bag to clean up. She tells me to go to Walmart and get my own garbage bags. That I can’t have this food in the common area and on their antique tables… which are NOT antiques. Then she proceeded to yell at me in front of me everyone. I explained our situation and then she started yelling at me more about how we can’t do this… again we explained the situation.. she continued to escalate the situation. My travel agent steps in and explains… lady escalates and escalates… Then she calls her manager then she calls the cops… she called the cops on a cheer squad…. 11 year old little girls eating pizza sitting by the fire place hanging out with friends. Laughing and having dinner… They decided to charge 2500.00 for rooms to one persons card and wouldn’t reverse the charges or even try to fix anything here. There was ZERO accommodations there was ZERO responsibility on the resorts behalf. Nothing. I offered to pay DOUBLE in cash the fee to use the room and even make sure it was all 100% cleaned up… Nope they just called the cops. As the cops were leaving Lisa asked the cops to cite us all for taking pictures in the lobby, IN THE COMMON AREA…. Ofc. Lady cop IMMEDIATELY SHOT HER DOWN. Also Mr. Man cop almost at the same time… Thank you #pigeonforgepolicedept for understanding our situation and helping us.. you guys were absolutely professional and kinda. Thank you for walking around with the manager and getting her approval that everything was in the common area was ok and in place and nothing was broken. Forgot to add to post: The pool is open 24/7 they came in turned off the heat to the hot tub and to the pool…. Coincidentally it all of a sudden broke at 1030 at night…. Then a whole bunch of chemicals were added to the pool which caused major burning in of my girls sinuses, so bad they had to leave the area and get fresh air. The temp in the pool room dropped to 62 degrees… then the next morning magically it was back up to the warm 73 degrees and the hot tub was magically hot again….. funny how that worked at 11pm on a Saturday night to 8am on a Sunday morning…. Beds are super broke down creeky and uncomfortable. Decent breakfast Staff is super nasty. Especially Lisa. However the one lady was so sweet Lorna… she was very kinda and you could see in her face she wanted to help but her hands were tied.. If I could I’d give 0/10.. do not recommend. Also I got a video of my entire room to make sure they can’t hit me with some BS charges… ✌🏼also its time stamped.…
We stay here every time we come to the area and have always loved our stay here. It never disappoints!! Check-in was busy but we got in in a timely manner. Breakfast is always good!We love being on the river and walking out on balcony. We don't even consider another place to stay when we are in Pigeon Forge!!
Very clean hotel which is centrally located to all the greatest attractions. The river beside the hotel and the rocking chairs on the deck are so inviting. The staff are very courteous and friendly.
Second time staying at music road, enjoyed it very much. Our only complain is that they don’t have tea bags at breakfast , not everyone drinks coffee.Beautiful views from the balcony’s in the back of hotel. The patio was very nice overlooking river. We will definitely stay there again.
We spent 4 nights in a tent and it was very hot out so last night of our trip I wanted to splurge and get a nice place with AC! This place was close by and it seemed to fit our needs! First couple hours I think we all slept just to cool off in nice air conditioned room. Later after we all rested we went down to pool which was very nice. I liked the parking lot. large and i could see car from balcony. This place really rested us up for are 10 hour drive back home. clean and nice. Room very large.
Let me start with the good: The room was incredibly clean. The reservation process when booking this hotel was awesome and Sandra (I am hoping that spelling is correct) was phenomenal. The bathroom was not only clean, but very spacious. I had a river view room on a higher floor that provided a fantastic view of the island and mountains. The daily breakfast was appreciated and really good as far as hotel breakfasts go. I, sadly, did not get the breakfast attendants name, but she was a treat. Such a hard-worker that was very friendly. The location was also very good, so easy to get around with many restaurant options close by. Now, the not so good. The check-in process overall was not great. A VERY long line to wait in for only two front desk attendants. The attendants seemed very annoyed and were anything but welcoming. On two occasions I tried to reach the front desk to questions whether a gym was available and never got anyone to answer the phone. At one point, when there was not a line for check-in, I stood waiting to ask in person and never got acknowledged so I walked away. The two elevators were both functioning, but I can imagine they get bogged down if it gets too busy. The outdoor pool/lazy river looked very inviting and clean, sadly I did not get to use it. But, I did try the indoor pool which was fine. It was heated and a nice size; however, the jacuzzi was unavailable. I was disappointed after a long travel day. I do believe I could have gone across the road to use the sister property hot tub, but chose not to do that. This may seem silly, but I cannot believe the hotel did not have tea bags available. I asked both front desk and breakfast attendant and both stated they did not have them. This just seems odd since coffee is so readily available. I would probably return to the hotel on a return trip, but I was not blown away.…
The room was clean; we especially liked the closet right off the bathroom. Aso, enjoyed the lazy river-great way to relax after a busy day sight seeing. The location was nice, away from the heavy traffic area. Check in - Check out was easy.
