Stayed over the Laborday weekend at this resort with four grandkids between the ages of 5 and 15 and everyone had a blast. The pool aera closed every two hours for cleaning per CDC recommendations but still it was only for a short period of time. The kids all loved having their " own" slides to enjoy as well as the walking pool. The room was clean and comfortable and allowed space for everyone to rest during pool closings. The resort is located about mid way of the strip so going different places was easy. The only disappointing thing was the included breakfast, it was cold and not very tasty.

First of all let me just say before I say anything else the people here are dishonest… Housekeeping stole my watch. I left it on the bed..checked out..completely remembered that I left it on the bed and now they conveniently cannot find my watch… That’s the first thing I will say, not to mention that it’s overpriced for what you get. It’s like staying at a Motel 6 with crappier beds and the staff is horribly rude. They made us pay the entire balance on arrival like criminals, and barely said two words to us after they had our money! Buyer BEWARE!! Stay somewhere else..we stayed at a comfort inn in Knoxville on the way in and the beds were way comfortable and it was affordable. I cannot believe someone stole my watch instead of turning it in to lost and found but that sums up 2020.

We do offer a heartfelt apology that your stay was anything less than perfect. What you describe is certainly not standards that over a million guest have come to love about staying with Country Cascades Waterpark Resort. Like most hotels we are not responsible for lost or left items, and we do require all guest to acknowledge that on the guest agreement at check-in. Collecting the remaining balance at check in is also a standard practice. Again we do apologize that this was not that you expected. The staff does strive to make sure everyone enjoys their time with us. We hope you enjoyed your time in the area and wish you safe travels for the rest of 2020.

Conveniently located to EVERYTHING in the area! The room was clean. The procedures for leaving the pool area every 2 hours was necessary given the pandemic but did aggravate the kids! :-) Just fyi, if you rent the Penthouse Suite the spiral staircase was pretty noisy and no fun walking up and down to the bathroom, BUT the 2 upstairs beds were very comfortable.

The "Penthouse Suite" was highly misleading for the price. No bathroom upstairs for two king beds was terrible and a metal winding staircase that is dangerous. My grandson and mother hit their head on it! The fridge is way too small for a family of six and the light upstairs from a large window at night made for three of the worst nights sleep I have ever had along with the echo of every sound in the room. We own a timeshare so I have traveled a bunch. This was the worse we have stayed at night and I felt extremely overcharged for this experience. The pools were nice but my son who is 6'2 was bored with the 5ft. depth of each pool. They were perfect for my toddlers. The slides were fun for them too. The staff were all very friendly except when we had a problem with a lifeguard at the kids park. I talked to the pool manager who happened to be there at the time of the problem. The worst thing was the advertised breakfast that was included. Nasty eggs, two cold sausage links and a hard biscuit delivered to the room due to Covid. TERRIBLE!! Embarrassing for this resort in my opinion. I spoke to a manager William who was so nice and offered to move us but we had already unpacked and wiped every surface down with antibacterial wipes. I considered leaving early but decided to make the best of things for my sons 16th birthday. I doubt if I will stay here again with a big family, and I probably wont be recommending this resort to my friends and family. The sister resort at Governors Crossing is so much better for this price. They even have Smores fireplaces at the other one and your teens can rome safely about on campus with the bands that are worn. It was an average stay.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay with us. I do apologize the room set up of the Penthouse Suite did not meet your needs. We do have guest that enjoy the separated upstairs area and the living room downstairs . One of our favorite things to hear is that when guest stay with us, they enjoy the slides, River Chaser & River Run, Splashaway Bay and all the amenities that the waterpark offers. We will be glad to welcome everyone back to our Grandma's Kitchen for a hearty breakfast buffet, once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. We do make sure Managers are available for any problem that may arise. Again we do apologize your stay did not meet your expectations but we do look forward to seeing you at The Resort at Governor's Crossing again for S'mores by the fire pits soon!

I want to start on a positive note. The water park was a blast for our family. It was run in a professional, safe manner. Many other hotels in the area with waterslides are not supervised and some people play reckless and rough. And for the cost you couldn't beat this amenity. The staff at the hotel was always friendly. Unfortunately, some of the complaints I read when booking were still there. The room and ac smelled like mildew. And everything felt damp in our room. While there was signage about pool hours, the later hours didn't include the slides. We were told it was because the slides do not have lights so it isn't safe. But that should be posted or maybe light the slides. We like to do tours in the day and play at the hotel at night. And finally, they advertise free wifi. But it never worked for more than a few minutes at a time. We look for wifi availability to do work, use our phones, etc. We were told the area is considered rural and therefore, it is rural internet service. While that might be true, we were led to believe we would have WiFi access. We did not. I'm not sure with these problems we will stay here again. And that is unfortunate.
