We stayed specifically at "A Suite Mountain View" cabin within the Parkside Resort. The stunning floor to ceiling windows are jaw dropping when you first come in the front door with 29 foot ceilings. It had 3 floors with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms with each room having its own bathroom and porch with rocking chairs with beautiful, high end furniture in every room. It had a home theater room with projection tv and tiered movie theater seats and free Netflix. There was a stand alone Pacman video game with free play, a large pool table, jacuzzi hot tub, and spectacular mountain view! Our cabin faced more southeast so the sun came up every morning to the left of our porch - perfect spot to sit in a rocking chair and watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee. We bought groceries and stayed in our whole time as we never wanted to leave the cabin. Wifi was great the first day then was spotty the 2nd day and then went completely out. But, in less than an hour, there was a knock on our front door with someone from the property owner checking on the wifi, no prompting from us. The temperature of the cabin and the wifi we knew was monitored by the property owner. All cabins are individually owned from what I understand. The cabin floors and walls were gorgeous wood and maintained beautifully (no sheet rock on the walls!) The kitchen was well equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, big farm house sink, large fridge, dishwasher and anything else you would need to cook and serve a meal for up to 12 people. Check in could have been done over the phone but we chose to send one of us in at the front office which I'm glad we did in person as the receptionist sent us to the wrong cabin and we had to return and straighten it out. Reception didn't seem super informed about our reservation specifics but we had our email confirmation so that helped clear things up. The resort has an indoor/outdoor pool, a few steep hiking trails and 2 playgrounds that we found for children. It also had it's own grill that delivered for free on the grounds but we never used it and instead picked up groceries. It was just my husband and I for this trip (anniversary and birthday) in such a big house but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. We'd love to return with our family in the future.

Extended family stayed in the “Take A Look” cabin at Parkside Resort. Our five branches of the family were able to comfortably fit in this 6-bedroom and 6.5-bathroom building. Plenty of floorspace available between the three separate stories of the cabin, and each level had its own balcony overlooking the hill ledge that the cabin was built upon. Decent sized kitchen for handling meals, and a nice sized dining area for people to sit. The bottom floor had a game room with pool table and arcade consul, and there was a home theater room downstairs as well.

Our cabin was fairly clean and in very good repair upon on arrival. There was also plenty of blankets and pillows as well as towels, wash clothes, and other linens to cover everybody there. The cabin had free Wi-Fi available, although one of my only criticisms of the location would be that the internet connection was very spotty throughout the week (especially if you weren’t on the bottom floor near the router. Kids (and adults) loved playing the various video game classics on the arcade consul.

In addition to the cabin, the resort offered some nice amenities during the stay. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pools a few times throughout the week, and the kids especially enjoyed using the waterslides at the pool. A small but enjoyable miniature golf course behind the lodge and swimming pools. Although we didn’t spend much time at it, there was a playground as well. Most of these amenities were in decent shape, although some of them could have used some cleaning and/or minor upkeep.

We rented two cabins for a family reunion. Location was good for going to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. One cabin slept 15 the other 10, but were basically the same size. I'd assumed one would be larger and would accommodate more seating space and dining spaces for when we shared meals together. That wasn't the case. Cooking was a bit of a challenge. The 10 person cabin had one pot holder, only five dinner knives, and one teaspoon. There were a few pots but essentially no fitting lids. The 15 person cabin had two pot holders, a reasonable amount of silverware but not enough for 15. We had loaded in two sets of card tables and chairs for group meals but it was a tight fit. We reported a refrigerator leaking water in the 10 person cabin to the main office and they promised to send someone to look at it. No one showed up for the 3 remaining days we were there. We had to launder bath towels we used to dry the wood floor. Each of the 4 bathrooms in the 10 person cabin only had one hand towel. Just seemed like for the price paid, they would repair refrigerators quickly and routinely check on cabin contents and replace items as necessary and provide more hand towels in bath rooms. We'd go again, but would be better prepared.

Went on our second trip to Parkside in September and took our extended family this time around. Stayed in the newer cabin, Majestic Mountain View. Everyone agreed that it was one of our best vacations ever. The cabin was perfect for our entire family because it offered bedrooms and separate bathrooms for everyone, so no one was in each other’s way at all. The views and outside decks were absolutely spectacular. Can’t recommend Parkside enough. Looking forward to our next trip!

Stayed at “A Suite Mountain escape” cabin. So overall the cabin was beautiful, with the comfortable beds, hot tubs. Here are issues that we didn’t like; The WiFi signal was so weak, I even left a voicemail about this problem but no one called me back. We had problem with the theatre(Netflix) it was not set up , we did not figure it up until our last night . Kitchen utensils was dirty, no dish sponge or brushes to clean dishes , and found hair in refrigerator. also we tried to take the kids to the playground, and mini golf area, it was total different from the photos they post on their website. Zip line was not working, basketball court was like abandoned bush with grasses, and dead bugs , (for more than $500 a night ), we expected more than we got. In fact for less than $200 you can get best service than that. We found dead bugs under our beds and spiders are everywhere especially in shower area. I am sure these problems are easily fixed for cheap to make the place a 5-stars cabin.

Thank you so much for being our guests and taking the time to come to tell us about your stay. I am sorry to hear about the problems you had with but we greatly appreciate you bring this to our attention. This is how we can grow and continue to be better for you and all of our guests. I'm not sure what you are referring to about the putt-putt being different but both of the issues with zip-line and playground area have already been addressed and fixed. I apologize again and we hope that A Suite Mountain Escape can be your host again so that you can come away with the 5 Star experience that you deserve.

Just returned from another trip to Parkside Resorts. Staff is very nice and seem to be on top of things and the place is very close to the strip, but far enough away to still get that "mountain feel". We stayed in Aqua Paradise 4 nights starting March 19th. When we arrived the cabin was incredibly hot (84) we switched the thermostats from heat to cool and waited. After so long with no cooling off, we called and maintenance came and "charged" 2 of the outside units. No big deal, kind of stunk spending the first 2 to 3 hours of our trip outside the cabin on the decks waiting for it to cool off but not a huge deal. The biggest issue everybody noticed in our party was the dated or worn furnishings. The vinyl on the couch is so worn on the armrest that little black flakes come off everywhere and stick to your skin. So bad that the white fabric under the vinyl is showing through. Same for the bench seat and a couple of the kitchen chairs at the dining room table. Had one single dishtowel in the kitchen. There or no video games in the cabin which we knew ahead of time. The kids wanted to use the pool and pool table. Problem with the pool table is that it is so worn that the balls barely bounce off the bumpers!! The table leans to the south pretty badly and 2 of the pockets are extremely loose and close to falling off. We have traveled to Pigeon Forge over 20 years straight and stayed with many different cabin rental companies. Parkside is very nice and could be considered higher end which would raise expectations for guest. I think Aqua Paradise is one of the older cabins that was first built and is just lacking some upkeep/care. We stayed in Bar Fut Chateau 2 years ago and it was immaculate. Dont mind paying 2300 plus dollars for 4 nights for a high end cabin if in fact its a higher end cabin. Didnt expect what we found after being here before. Will probably return because we like the place but will research a little more to verify the newer cabins built. Aqua Paradise is not a 2400 dollar for a 4 night stay cabin. Needs attention inside and out.

Our family of 14 enjoyed a great stay in "Take a Look," a six bedroom cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We cooked many meals there. It was great to have a bedroom and bathroom for everyone. We enjoyed the pools. Having family with ages ranging from one year to 64, it's a challenge to find a place that accommodates everyone, but this cabin was great. Issues with the cabin (missing remotes) were fixed the very next day. The staff is prompt in helping with any needs. The property itself is beautiful. The gas light lanterns along the tree strewn roads are beautiful. The resort is only two miles from the strip, so finding grocery stores etc. was easy, yet it was far away enough to be secluded and quiet. The grille was especially helpful. We didn't have to leave the pool area to get lunch, and if we had a picky eater who didn't like the fare we cooked, he could just order from the grille. And the food was good! I only gave the resort four stars because some of the amenities like the mini golf course and the playground with the zip lines and slides were not well maintained. Our 4 and 5 year olds could not used the playground because the slides were dirty and not slippery and the ziplines really didn't zip. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay so much I am sure we will go back there. If you are looking for a place that fosters family togetherness, this is the place.

My family and I stayed in the Take a Look cabin and the cabin was absolutely beautiful. We stayed four nights and loved everything about our stay. The hot tub needed cleaning when we arrived, and although they were not able to clean until the 2nd day, we had no problem with that because the staff was so polite and professional you couldn't be upset. One of the highlights was the black bear we saw in the front of the cabin and then he walked to the back of the cabin. Pretty cool.
Thank you Parkside Resort, can't wait to see you again!!!

This was my first visit to Pigeon Forge and all i knew to expect was beautiful cabins and scenery. I have never heard from all of my friends who have went to the cabins this summer of little creepy crawler friends aka roaches being in their cabins. The very first night my husband and the other guys saw Atleast 3 big ones and 4 babies in the kitchen one is enough for me. I thank goodness was sleep that night and the guy said that he had called for Parkside to come out and spray and they would be arriving the very next morning. However WE STILL SEEN PLENTY. They said they would come spray again and one of the couples hung back and said that they would make sure the property came out and they never did. Definitely put a bad taste in my mouth and i would not recommend this resort to stay at. Yes i understand you are in a wooded area but the amount of roaches I seen was unheard of on a vacation.

Thank you for taking the time to voice your feedback. I'm the critters bothered you after we sent the pest control people. Like i explained to you, they are "wood roaches" , not food roaches that carry diseases. It happens sometimes when it rains a lot. If you try us again, you'll see this is not a common occurrence. Have a great year and stay healthy.

No, the cabins are their own stand alone stuctures. The indoor pool and water slides are part of the Lodge, where they also have the Grill, an arcade, and the fitness room.

Yes, there is a trolley that runs through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. However, even though we are only a five minute drive from the strip, the trolley does not come to the resort. You can drive to the main trolley hub and park for free. Then catch a ride to wherever you like.
