For many years now (8 or more), our family has spent Thanksgiving week at Parkside. We can’t say enough good about the setting and accommodations! We highly recommend this resort and cannot wait until next year!

My wife and I along with our daughter, her husband and 3 grandchildren stayed at Parkside Resort in A Suite Mountain View. Our cabin had amazing views of Mt. LeConte, a theater room and every bedroom (4) had it's own bathroom and TV. We sat around the firepit on the deck in the evening talking. Our daughter and husband enjoyed the hot tub and the kids enjoyed the theater room and game room that included a pool table. If we did not go out the kids went to the resort pool or played the free on site mini-golf (bring an extra golf ball as some of the holes are very hard!). Kitchen had everything you need and is well stocked. Plenty to do here, beautiful cabin and resort. Will be back.

Family Stayed in the Appalacian Lodge. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin. Stayed at Parkside several times before and cabins have always been clean. This cabin advertises "newly renovated". The rug when you walk in the front door is disgusting- dirty with stains all over it. Windows are filthy. Carpet on 3rd floor was very worn. Bedrooms on 3rd floor didn't appear to be swept. Dead flies were everywhere. Thick dust on furniture, decor and floor in areas. Cobwebs in showers. Lamp in bedroom didn't work. There were only 2 blankets in the entire cabin, beds have only a sheet and comforter. The remote for the theater room was lost in one of the chairs so we weren't able to use that room until finally finding the remote the last day. Lights at hottub didn't work and hottub is down a walkway so it was inconvenient. We did notify maintenance but were told they weren't able to get to it that day, which was our last day there. We also asked about the remote for the theater room and were told they would try to get one but never heard back from them. Rooms: 2/5 | Service: 2/5 | Location: 5/5

For our fourth visit - we stayed here - cabin was very nice and accommodating for our group of 21 - clean - a little disappointed in hot tub - they were in Saturday evening, and Sunday evening my daughter, whom has cleaned hot tubs, said it needed clean - there was like a film and that didn't come from one day she said - I reported and had to pay cleaning fee - but they came and took care of. No Keurig, usually have both but there was none. There was no dvd player in movie room - so we bought a firestick and made that work - remotes needed batteries, we replaced some. All in all we were very happy and hope to return - but was just checking on some places in the resort for next August - and the price is almost doubled from this year, what's up with that??? Always have recommended Parkside!

Thanks for taking the time to review our resort and the cabin we manage. I will see about getting a DVD player up there, usually they have them. Our apologies. We can always send maintenance for that or batteries. Pricing does vary depending on the time of year. Might have got mid-season rates this year. Thanks for staying and we will see you folks again.

We were finally able to get our family of 10 together for a much awaited vacation. Loved the large kitchen and table for 12! Also includes a breakfast bar for 4 and a high top table for 4. A total of 18 can sit to eat inside. Unfortunately there were only a total of 4 deck rocking chairs on the main level outside and none on either of the 2 upper level decks or the lower level deck. ‘Almost Heaven’ advertises to accommodate 16 but not on the decks. Beautiful new looking waterproof wood look floor on the main level. Carpeting on upper and lower levels were dirty with lots of stains and the furniture showing lots of wear. The filter on the upper level was hanging open and the filter was filthy, but promptly changed after notifying maintenance. When we arrived the room temp of the main level was in the 80’s and maintenance promptly responded to replace a part. A cabinet door in the lower level bathroom was coming apart and maintenance fixed this as well as bringing a new tank for gas grill bc it was out. All understandable maintenance issues. The first morning we were greeted with a broken coffee carafe so had to call front desk for a replacement before we could enjoy our first cup. Glad no one was burned esp. the kiddos. The front desk promptly brought one. The dishwasher does not do a very good job. Ended up rewashing all dishes by hand. We also discovered that the toilet on the main level was leaking to the bathroom in the lower level and got some of our items wet. There was never a response to that request before we left after a 5 nite stay. We avoided using the main level toilet as much as possible, but was hard since we had 3 little ones and that was the only toilet on the main level. There was also an ant issue in the main level bathroom. We had stayed in another cabin 2 doors down in 2020 with no issues. When you have stayed at a cabin with no issues then 2 years later have a different cabin with multiple issues it is a bit disappointing, but we made the best of it. We saved and saved for a 2nd vacation stay at the same resort, but this time needed a 5 BR and in 2020 we only needed a 4 BR. The property is beautiful… just a few hiccups that could easily be fixed. Like chairs on the decks to sit and enjoy the beautiful view, and basic routine maintenance that we should not have to point out. The pool time was great! The scenery is always beautiful!! We love the Great Smokey Mountains!! I am unable to add pictures from my iPhone. Keep getting error.

We stayed here in June - 4 families total. 8 adults and 6 kids. We were in town for a baseball tournament and the rest of our team stayed at other cabins within the resort. The resort has cabins for just a family of 4 all the way up to huge groups! The house was plenty big enough that sleeping and restrooms were not an issue. Our cabin was The Lookout. The downstairs game room, media room, and bedroom/bathroom was a perfect space for the kids to go and hang out! The grounds offered so much for the kids as well- pool, putt putt, arcade room, trail walking, and playground with the Monorail. If we are ever back in TN we would stay here again!

For the review our family was very excited for this location. Upon arrival the housekeepers were letting us in, very beautiful overlook and great appearance. Upon arrival my wife uses an everyday wheelchair and there is no access to the cabin. There is a ramp but not flush with the pavement (see picture). The main floor bedroom was great, but the shower had about a 2 inch frame from the floor and no ADA grab bars any where in the entire cabin. We requested a metal ramp for access, to our surprise they do not provide anything for the ramp to make it accessible. If you require anything for ADA compliance….this is not the place.

We do advertise some of our cabins as ADA friendly, but none are ADA accessible with the bars , ramps, etc. We do recommend a company in town that rents ramps. Must have been a confusion. We always ask potential guest to call with questions of this nature, stated on our website.

Visited the Parkside resort in June 2022 and enjoyed the visit immensely. There were 2 couples and we stayed in the Incomebearable cabin. The cabin was beautiful and spacious. We came prepared with extra kitchen items like paper towels and some of our own cooking supplies as the cabin just has the basics. The cabin has a large fridge of brining your own food to cook. The two balconies were awesome and came with plenty of seating. We spent many mornings sipping coffee outside on the upper balcony and evenings relaxing in the hot tub on the lower balcony. Since there was only two couples, we both had plenty of privacy on our own levels and our own bathrooms. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. TVs were placed in all the bedrooms, also near the pool table and don’t forget the movie theater room. The only things that were a negative was the outdoor grill. It was not super efficient and it’s on a timer that shuts off about every 20 mins. So be mindful if cooking and walking away. It won’t stay on. The other negative was poor WiFi. That’s too be expected though in the mountains. The staff at check In was super friendly and helpful and provided detailed maps of the area. The roads leading up to the cabin are a wee bit scary as they are definitely mountain roads. Also don’t expect to get an Uber as you can’t seem to get one. But we did use Angels taxis one day. They were super friendly and new the area well. The town of Pigeon Forge itself was so busy. We were a little surprised as it wasn’t really the busy season yet, but we were happy to just chill and relax in our beautiful cabin. All in all, everyone was happy and enjoyed our stay at the Parkside Resort.
