My wife and I decided to take a family vacation with our younger daughter at the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge TN, we started to look into hotels in area and because I’m a choice hotels member and I have stayed in various choice hotels and never experienced any issues we decided on staying here. We drove from Miami to Pigeon Forge and after such a long drive we just want to rest and that’s when the nightmare began. We were given room 107, as soon as we entered the room the stench of rotten milk hit us like a brick, the rug was super dirty and mattresses were so old and over used that all you feel was the springs and the mattress sank as soon as you got on them, the center was hard and the side were sinking, so when you lay down you would feel as if you’re falling and the springs were jabbing you. I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed. The bathroom is so tiny that the can’t close the shower curtain when you using the toilet. I spoke the the front desk about my issues and I was told that there was nothing they could because they were fully booked and that they would send someone to take care of the smell, know one ever showed up. Now to the breakfast area, it is so small that you could move around because so many people in such an enclosed area. I have stayed in many choice hotels locations and this is the worst by far. I was there from June 18 till June 24 and after having been there for so many days sleeping in such an uncomfortable bed smelling that rotten stench I need another vacation for resting by body. After being in town and driving around I saw many other places I could stay and much nicer. I tried asking for a refund so I could relocate but was told I could not so I didn’t have much of a choice. Do your homework and look for local places, there are many. I will return to Pigeon Forge but will never stay at this hotel again.…
The worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We were there 4 nights and we had virtually no maid service while we were there. 2 nights we had to go to the front office to get more towels and wash rags. The maids didn't leave any and when we called the front desk about it they told us we had to come get them ourselves. They never picked the old towels up all week. They were piled as high as the top of the toilet tank in the bathroom. The carpet was so filthy you couldn't walk around in your white socks or they would be completely black on the bottom. And the only elevator for the whole hotel was broken on our last day there. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place really was terrible!!!!!!!
My family went there over Memorial weekend. The day we tried to get in the hot tub this happened: There was a family of Mexican's there. Although there are areas where the kids can swim, the parents were allowing all these little ones jump in and out of the hot-tub, swinging around pool noodles and etc. while they sat in chairs playing on their phones. Then I watched one of them get out, holding their self as they ran to the bigger pool to tell their dad she had to pee. I watched the dad point back to the hot tub. She came back, spread her little legs and started peeing. I hollered and told my family and we all leaped out. We told staff, but they did NOTHING!! Then the entire family (and there were many of them) got in that disgusting thing!! The staff said there's a good filtration system - REALLY??? They said that family had already been in the lobby causing grief but still did nothing. They got to enjoy the entire place and we left. We paid good money to stay there and they let that go on?? GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were told by the staff that they deliberately did that to get us out so they could all get in. Does that make it right??? That thing should have been shut down and those people should have been kicked out of there!!! There were 2 other families that we let know because they wanted to take their little ones in there - again - GROSS!!! We should get all of our money back.…
Overall, we had a good experience. As my title says, the hotel itself is outdated. The furniture could use some TLC and the mattress was not very comfortable, but at least it felt clean. Bathroom was clean, no hair in the towels (my #1 pet peeve!). Hotel is close to a fair amount of restaurants...my husband and I actually walked to dinner and also to mini golf one evening. Plenty of spacious parking, as well. We did not personally visit the pool but looked clean when we walked past. Front desk was friendly as well. Very glad we picked a slightly cheaper room and was able to spend money on other things!
We come to the area often and typically stay at Hilton hotels. We decided to do a last minute trip and waited too long to book so we didn’t have many options we took a chance and booked this hotel. I’ll be honest I didn’t have high expectations but I was quite surprised at how great this hotel was. The location is perfect. You are about 10/12 minutes away from everything. It was extremely clean it even smelled clean as soon as you walked in. There was not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere the beds were extremely comfortable along with the pillows/blankets. If you are thinking of booking don’t let the few bad reviews stop you. I’m extremely picky when it comes to where I stay and I was very impressed. It may not be the most updated hotel meaning the furniture and decor but if you are looking for great quality for a great price you should definitely consider this hotel. Plenty of shops/restaurants are in walking distance. 10/10 recommend.…
My family and I stayed here for one night before checking into our other reservation. Room was fine for one night bathroom is very small and could use a renovation but served it’s purpose. Beds was clean and comfy. Carpet in our room didn’t have no stains. For a cheap overnight stay i would stay again.
We stayed here during our short trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had a suite, which was not much larger than a regular room, but it had a couch which turned into a bed. They also had a fireplace which was nice, but we didn't use it. They had a 2-person jacuzzi, which we did use, and it was OK but nothing special as some of the jets weren't working. The location was on the strip in Pigeon Forge, so that was a plus, but the hotel is old and showed its age. The negatives were the breakfast was not that great although it was free, and it was a full breakfast. The eggs and sausage lacked flavor. The biggest problem I experienced was a wonky internet connection in our room. It never connected right until the last day and it was most frustrating. The hotel desk staff allowed me to talk with the hotel IT person and eventually it was resolved, but it was a real annoyance. When I wanted to read email or do anything internet related, I had to go to the office. The staff were very nice and offered many solutions, none of which worked. It wasn't until the IT person got involved was the problem fixed. I was able to use some Choice Hotel points to reduce the cost of the stay and I'm happy about that. Not happy about the fact that even though I paid cash for about 70% of the cost of the stay (points were the rest) the desk clerk said I would not get Choice Hotel points for this stay, which I plan to check out with the chain. It would be a coin toss if I stayed here again. At full cash price- No. If I could use points to reduce the total cost- Maybe.…
A pleasant surprise no doubt. First time staying here , though we’ve stayed in pigeon forge many times. Due to the Christmas week inflated prices of other facilities in the area , I searched out a possible better bargain so I took a chance on this Quality Inn. Wow were we pleasantly surprised when we entered our room on the 3rd floor , awesome layout. Everything was clean and well kept. Fire place was a real hit. Jacuzzi tub was great. Location was perfect to Dollywood. Our stay for 2 nights was about the same cost as one night at other places we normally stay at. We we’ll definitely be back here.
Hotel is located in a great location across the street from the Dixie Stampede. Lots of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Room is clean and spacious. Really great stay. Plenty of parking. The king room with the fireplace is lovely.
We had a lovely room with a fireplace and a spacious bathroom. They have started serving a hot breakfast, but the breakfast room was small with limited seating. We had to sit outside in the cold or carry the food to our room. I recommend the front office staff help facilitate finding open seats by discouraging people holding tables to talk with just a cup of coffee. The room was clean and the staff was accommodating with regards to a special request. We were located next to McAllisters sandwiches and Texas Roadhouse on the main parkway in Pigeon Forge, super close to the National Park. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the great smoky mountains.
