I had heard and read so much about this place. I was somewhat disappointed. We did stay there on a holiday weekend so I am not considering the crowd, this is just facilities. For the price, the rooms on the river are not worth it. The room was just average. The bathroom sink had drain flys around it every day. The a/c wasn’t very powerful and was quite LOUD all night. Bugs would come in through the porch door. However, breakfast was good (need more cereal choices). The sitting areas were nice and the pools appear clean. It is apparent you pay for location and not the room. We give it an average rating and probably would not stay there again with so many other choices around the same area.
I love The Inn on the River! We have stayed here several times and every time enjoy it more! The location is ideal and you are right on the river. Breakfast is very good and they have popcorn nightly from 7-10 which is also a nice extra. The staff are extremely pleasant and very helpful. I look forward to returning next year! Thank you for another great vacation!
My stay was excellent and the hotel was very nice and clean. Our housekeeper I believe her name was Teresa did an excellent job taking care of me and she was very polite.Everytime I saw her she had a smile on her face. The breakfast was good and the staff at the front desk were nice.
This was a wonderful relaxing stay in Pigeon Forge. DH and I stayed here and I was so very glad that we did! It’s extremely clean, you can tell the people who work here care about your stay and if they can do anything to help you enjoy yourself, they will try to help. We had a room with a king size bed, a fireplace, a jacuzzi and a balcony. We also had a flat screen TV, small refrigerator, microwave, iron and hairdryer. It was so wonderful to have such a nice room/hotel to come home to! Every morning they had breakfast in the lobby and at night they had popcorn and hot chocolate. They even had a section to buy food to heat in your microwave in the room in case you didn’t want to go out to eat or order in. The river is right next to it is so calming and you can see ducks and geese every day. The hotel has bird feeders also and you can feed the birds. We loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again!…
What a hidden Gem in the center of Pigeon Forge . Folks there’s a reason this is a top rated place to stay . Super friendly staff and everything’s in clean working order . We stayed for a week and always took comfort of our oasis waiting for us at the end of the day . Do not hesitate to book this wonderful Inn.
The staff here was exceptional, attentive, and willing to address any issues but housekeeping needs to up its game. We had issues with dirty linen and a stained mattress but again the staff was willing to address and did. They even discounted our stay to compensate for the problems with housekeeping. The only other issue was a funky smell on the first floor between the pools. Additionally, The hotel provided a lot of niceties including 24/7 coffee/cappuccino and hot tea, popcorn hour and complementary chocolate chip cookies, discounts around town, etc.. Overall, had it not been for the aforementioned issues I would have given a 4-4.5 rating.
I give the hotel 4 instead of 5 stars on a family technicality: the indoor and outdoor pool is small in size. If you have kids who want a bigger pool, you might want to look into another option. Honestly, we spent more time around all the things Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg had to offer than in the pool, but families might want to know about the pool size. The hotel itself, however, is OUTSTANDING. We loved the service we received. We loved the size of our room for a family of 5 (try to get the room with the sleeper sofa). We loved the location. We loved being on the river side of the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast, as it provides you with a number of options. We felt the price for the stay was really reasonable. Overall, highly recommend this place.
This was a very nice hotel . The room was very clean and the shower was amazing. Our twins loved interacting with the geese and ducks by the river. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely consider this hotel again for a last minute booking.
Cleanest, best maintained, and most comfortable hotel in town. The staff have always been very friendly and professional. It is more expensive than some hotels in town but you get what you pay for with this one. We have been staying here for years and will continue to.
Our stay was so special, We were greeted by Misty who was so friendly & sincere. My fiance & myself had wanted to stay here for a long time! Very clean room , stunning view from our balcony and a delicious breakfast overlooking the river ! Absolutely beautiful here, Can't wait to come back again soon!
