I found this property to be in a great setting on the water. It was not as remote as I had imagined since there is also a huge traffic bridge that you can see from your room along with the picturesque lake! Nonetheless, a great escape. I did not smell the paper mill but perhaps it was the time of...

Checked in not knowing there is a paper mill across the river. The wind shifted and you could not take a breath in your room without tasting sulfur in your mouth. I am sitting in the lobby at 2 am writing this review with a splitting headache from the smell. When we tried to sleep in the room the pillow...

I have always loved to stay at the Inn when I come back home. Peoplr always nice, food is good, the rooms are clean but nothing compares to a good sleep..it makes all the good to be forgotten. A good mattress makes a trip enjoyable. Will rent a cabin from now on.

We needed a place to stay while our boat was being serviced. The Inn is showing it's age. The restaurant serves buffet style and the food is below school systems food. We asked for a different room due to the loud air conditioner. Unfortunately the second room was just as loud so we stayed where we were.

We had a nice trip in Pickwick, the only negative was there were not many restaurants and the ones that were recommended were substandard. We ended up taking food back to the condo, since some of the restaurants allowed smoking. The foods were all greasy. Next trip, I guess we will cook in the condo.

Very friendly service, but the Inn needs updating badly. The restaurant is okay, but you should eat elsewhere if you don't mind going out. It's reasonably priced, so that's a redeeming quality. The biggest complaint from the people in my business group was pest control and odor in the rooms. We saw a couple roaches in the hallways, and a...

We never dreamed that the State Park could be an excellent place to stay. The rooms were clean and very reasonable, but the best part was the Sunset Pontoon ride that was free. There is a good restaurant in the Inn too. Don't look for a fridge or a microwave in the room instead enjoy the geese and the ducks...

The Inn is located on Pickwick Landing State Park. The Inn serves a lunch and dinner buffet seven days a week, but you have to be sure to be there at the right time of day. You can order from the menu. The selections were good and the price was very reasonable. We had breakfast the next morning, too. The...

Positives: As secluded from big city America as you will find east of the Mississippi with reliable running water and electricity. It also includes two pools, a conference center, marina, campgrounds, swimming, 18-hole golf and disc golf WITH a gas station on site that sells beer. There is a playground, ball field, tennis court, beach volleyball pit, on site restaurant...

The place is 15 years old but it needs a lot of work. Our room was supposed to be non smoking but it reeked. Management sent someone to spray but it did not help. Carpeting in the hallways and elevator needed to be vacuumed and the grounds had litter all over. Food was only mediocre........not nearly as good as the...
