The campground lies on Normandy TVA Reservoir and the upper Duck River. It is located in southern middle Tennessee between the towns of Normandy and Manchester. Offering large gravel sites, every site is a pull-through with electrical and water hookups. A majority of sites accommodate big rigs and may be camped on with a tent or an RV. A pavilion is available by reservation for a reasonable fee. The neighboring Cedar Point Campground, also managed by Recreation Resource Management, is located across the lake from Barton Springs.

We had site number 21 which is water front. The park is clean and well maintained. The bath houses are old but very clean and again well maintained. It was too windy to fish but we enjoyed relaxing and being near the water. My biggest complaint about this park is there is no wifi. Even some of the state parks have free wifi. Cell service is spotty and you have to walk to certain places to get a signal. It is privately owned so I am pretty sure wifi would be affordable.

This TVA campground is located less than 70 miles from where we live in Madison County AL. We stayed at spots 10 and 12. The campground was immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful. The lake level was low, as is normal in the winter months but that afforded a lot of extra space to walk the dogs. We would like to return in the summer and enjoy swimming in the lake and watching the boaters.

We held our family camping trip here and were so impressed with the great staff, beautiful beach area, and boat launch facilities. The grounds were so clean as were the restrooms. Our camp site was located in B section which allowed us to tie off the boat nearby. We will definitely return again for camping. Highly recommend this campground.

My family and I camp at Barton Springs regularly during camping season, however this year 2021 the new host named Bill that they hired is awful. Bill is rude, hateful and disrespectful to adults and the children. Our son had a pass and had been fishing and parked the vehicle and boat in the designated parking and walked over to the campsite where we were eating with some friends. Bill had the nerve to stop our son coming out of the bathhouse and told him he could not park there when the rules sheet we were given plainly stated that he was to park where he had parked. This was not our first run in with Bill. A couple of weeks before we had been at the lake all day and was going to a family members camper to eat with them, we used their pass because they are full time campers and have paid for extra passes. This time Bill had the nerve to tell us we could not take our boat. The lady at the window (we didn't get her name but she was older with white hair) was also very rude and hateful. Hope they find new staff before they ruin the camping experience for the full timers and the weekend campers trying to enjoy time with family and friends.

Staff was super friendly, and they brought the purchased firewood to our site for us. A+ for that. Unfortunately, their firewood seemed overpriced and would not burn well—it may not be seasoned enough. Lake was beautiful. Campsite was large (site 40). Not much privacy however, as there are few trees and we were right next to the overflow parking, which had some come and go. The campsite also bordered a fairly busy road, which you can't tell from the map, so there was frequent road noise. Week days were great, but as the campground filled for the weekend, it got less private and more noisy and we had some inconsiderate neighbors. We felt this was an average campground that would be more enjoyable if you had a boat to make use of the lake with. Or if you were with a group and less concerned about solitude and a restful weekend.

I really don’t want to tell you about the views, atmosphere, amenities and comfort of this park. It will get more crowded. It’s like living in a cush back yard with the sounds of kids and families having fun and boats on the water - all kinds of boats. Drag them up on the lawn boats, tie them to a dock boats, party boats, fishing boats and little rock and roll boats. We had a great week!

Overpriced. Not sure why it’s $50 a night for this spot. Had to call in to reserve a spot, no wi-fi, no amenities besides a lake. Each spot has electric and water but no sewer. Spots are fine. Overall good stay, but don’t see how they can charge that much. The lake is also a day use area so there are TONS of people there during the day. At 6:30PM they close it off to campers only. Bathrooms were very clean but the shower - you press the button and it stays on for 15 seconds or so. The problem is that the water is Lava until you cycle it through about 20 times. If you stand under that and hit the button you will get burned.

Me and my S-I-L camped for 2 nights on a weekend and had a fabulous time! Loved the spacious sites and the awesome beach. The bath house NEEDS some form of air circulation, ceiling fans, a/c or something! The bath house was clean but stifling hot. Also, the description here on trip advisor states that all sites have water and electric...but our site, B31, did not have a water spigot at all. We made do without water but it would have been nice to clean up a couple messes we had.

We were in site 1 just across from the swimming area. The area is quiet, beautiful, and very nice. Melissa helped us get set up and we enjoyed ourselves greatly. This is an RV camping area with a great lake to swim, fish, or just boat on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Barton Springs was my home away from home for two years. It was cozy, peaceful, private and comfortable. The campground was my family's vacation getaway on the weekends I stayed to work. The grounds are well kept and the staff are friendly. The managers, Kathy and Bill were always ready for a friendly conversation and available to support a camper in need.

Hello there, As prices tend to vary please contact the campground directly before you plan your visit at (931) 857-3777. A typical night for a waterfront campsite costs about $31 before tax. We hope this helps!
