Yes, the lobby is stunning. That was where the "wow-factor" ended for me. Our room was on the first floor, which is actually below the lobby. The room was dull. Our window let in almost no light as it was below a platform, the air conditioner was beyond loud, when the lights were on you could see the walls had... More

I wish we had gone after the renovations were complete. Too much construction, noise, and interrupted services to be at the price it was charging for our trip. The valet was a little too pushy when we arrived. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but the gym wasn't complete and the lower floors need lots of remodel work.... More

This place is under serious renovation. I'm surprised they didn't close and just get it done. Construction dust, elevator to rooms being used by crews all day, stairways full of debris!!! I got a new room and it was large for a hotel of this vintage but poorly lit and the thermostat was stuck on one temp - cold. I'm... More

Stayed during Vanderbilt move in weekend. I am a Marriott loyalist and premier Rewards member. This historic hotel looks nice on the outside and in the lobby, but that's as far as it goes. My room (as one of Marriotts most loyal members) was in the basement with no view and no ambiance. The lobby bar was closed. There is... More

My wife and I visited this hotel while waiting for a tour of Nashville to begin. We were taken with the beautiful lobby and each took pictures. As you can see, the picture I took featured a figure looking out from a window that was not there wen my wife took her picture. I didn't see anyone there when I... More

I need to preface my review by saying that the hotel is in the final stages of a renovation that is scheduled to be completed by October 2016. That said, we paid $500+ for a room and an experience that did not totally measure up - because of the renovations. We opted to pay extra for a room above ground... More

Our stay for 4th of July was super. The staff was amazing & helped us find whatever we needed, when we needed it. The hotel is gorgeous. The valet gave amazing driving or walking directions. We will be back.

I stayed at this property during a vacation and found it charming and fun. The staff was very accommodating from valet & check in until after we checked out. They offered useful suggestions and really made us feel welcome.

Outside structure of the building and the lobby are gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and professional. The area where the property falls down is the room. Specifically the bathroom. It is very small! The bathroom layout in our room included only a pedestal sink and a toilet tight up against a fiberglas tub. No counter space. Very disappointed. I... More
