We booked two rooms here through Marriott's Rewards Program (yes, this is now part of the Marriott family) and could not have been more delighted. First, let me say that the restoration is incredibly well done. The historic building retains its history as a train station with marvelous touches and a spectacular lobby. The skylight and high vaulted ceiling takes...

We were driving through Nashville on the way to Kentucky and on the spur of the moment decided to spend the night. We found the Union Station Hotel and felt so lucky to get a room. Not only is this a great location it is stunningly gorgeous. We loved the main lobby and enjoyed happy hour. Our room was comfortable...

By being a Marriott Rewards member it never ceases to amaze me what a wonderful program this is , we try to stay at hotels that fly their flag. This was the first from the Autograph group, WOW! from the entry, to the vaulted stain glass ceiling and gorgeous lobby, we said if our stay is as good as this...

The location away from the crazy Broadway honky tonks is good but still walking distance. The trains still run beside the hotel so not so quiet and the inner rooms overlooking the lobby are cool but noisy so avoid them. The rooms vary in size and one of them was so ridiculous in bathroom size that it should never be...

Dear Gwit, As Union Station was originally built as the city's train station in 1900, the transformation to hotel provided a number of opportunities and challenges that resulted in a hotel featuring 125 distinct, unique rooms varying in size, design and location within the building. Union Station features larger, open rooms on the lower that will sleep up to six...

The website was awesome enough, but the hotel was probably even more! Grand lobby with a fun bar and loads of glamorous seating. Awesome details remain from this historic train station. And to think, they almost tore it down. The rooms are all lovely with great beds and bedding. Easy to walk to the historic downtown with all of its...

Dear decoratingplus, While this iconic 117 year old building has been transformed from a train station to a hotel, the original bas-relief sculptures remain, the hand crafted limestone exterior remains, the original brick columns peer out in many locations, part of the original tile flooring peeks out through the polished cement floor in Carter's, the original woodwork and iron work...

Dear thompson513016, Thank you for the recommendation and for taking the time to share your experience on-line. As downtown Nashville grew up between the transportation hubs of Union Station and the docks on the Cumberland River, our location on Broadway has kept us in the center of all there is to do in Music City for over 100 years. We...

The hotel's beautifully renovated lobby preserves the historical elegance of a once grand train station. The bartender was eager to tell us about the hotel's history and attention to historical detail. For example, when the train station originally closed, all the beautiful leaded stained glass panes making up the quasi domed ceiling were removed and carefully crated to preserve their...

By all measures, this looks to be a great find in the area. And on many fronts it is. It does not lack character, it's got loads of a historic glimpse of the station in its heyday. The lobby bar is a fun hang, pretty friendly staff and the small room is engaging . Now the rooms are a little...

The building is architecturally stunning, the ceiling of the foyer is beautiful. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful. The rooms vary in size, generally quite big but a little cluttered with furniture. The lighting is a mix of a weak ceiling light and a number of lamps which is just annoying, put in a proper ceiling light! A...
