I stayed here to go to the Opry. The room was clean. Everything worked fine except the phone, which I didn't really need anyway. There is a Waffle House next door, and a Dollar General & Food Lion nearby. I would have liked to have a coffee maker in the room, but the microwave was fine. I would definitely stay here again.
Staff very friendly. Very clean. Large rooms. Nice yard for dogs. Very quiet. No frills. Had microwave and refrigerator. If you want lots of amenities, go somewhere else. If you want a large clean room to sleep in and take a shower, stay here. I highly recommend and will stay again when in the area.
I did not expect such a nice room from Motel 6. I have stayed in Holiday Inn rooms that were worse. The newly renovated room featured a clean parquet floor, new bathroom tile, updated bedding, and more modern and space-saving furniture - not that the room needed it had lots of square footage. The mattress was right in the middle of firm and soft. The motel sits a little off to itself so it feels more secure than the typical locations you might find a discount hotel. And just in case an attractive front desk is your sort of thing, the manager/desk clerk could have passed for Aziz Ansari's younger brother....just sayin.
It was quite expensive compared to our other motels on the trip but this is only because of the NFL Draft being in town- this motel was cheaper than elsewhere in the area by far. There are huge windows that people can look through. Cleanliness was OK. The towels were a little suspect. They were also really small. We stayed two nights and nobody came around to give it a quick flick around. Big rooms but really really basic and quite cold! There was no tea/coffee making facilities. No breakfast. Waffle House next door is good though and service excellent. It felt safe enough an area though.
We spent Wednesday, 4/4/19 at this motel in room 213. There were definitely issues with the overall cleanliness of the room and furniture in rough condition. However, the staff was friendly and the important parts of the room were clean. This being the bedding and bathroom. The stay was okay for the price. We returned to the motel on Thursday, 4/5/19 after spending the day at Graceland. We were given room 111. When I sat down on the bed the rails fell out from under it. I called the front desk and was told he would come up and look at it. After waiting a sufficient time, I called the front desk again. He said he was coming right then. I waited and finally put my shoes on to go see what was taking so long. After all, it's going on 11pm now. This all started around 10pm. while waiting we found a review on room 111 from the week before where a lady had the same problem. So I flipped the mattress and box springs onto the floor to see if I could fix it. The wooden frame on the box spring was broken and the rails were toast. He came as I was heading down to the office and after looking at it gave us a new room which was okay. I asked about a discount the next morning and was told to talk to the boss. I knew I already was, so I said I would just give a review on Tripadvisor instead. So much for the newly renovated rooms that were posted on their sign.…
