Room keys do not work for elevator access. Multiple guests confirmed. Confusing, contradictory signage in parking garage. And room phones did not function. Definitely not a good value ever. Don't waste your money or trust here.

Being a very busy hotel, I was not expected to have the service we received! Housekeepers were always kind and quick to bring us towels, soaps, and beverages! Perfect location, as well! Would stay again when planning on spending a lot of time Downtown

The hotel was understaffed. The breakfast area was very uncontrolled and safety standards very poor. They post covid rules, but nothing is controlled or enforced. Exposed utensils. People sitting at every table even though signs have them marked as reserved for social distancing. Guests not wearing masks around food area. Tables not wiped between guests. Beyond covid issues, the hotel's service was lacking. We had to request service repeatedly to get anything we needed. Too few toiletries for number of guests. Room was getting grungey after 3 days which is when policy says they are supposed to freshen the room. That took repeated requests to make happen. Toilet plugged and took repeated requests and hours to get assistance. The sofa felt like it needed replacement as there is no support at all ... you sink all the way down when you sit on it. There were 3 pillows per bed. Guess if there are two people per bed, you fight over the third pillow (LOL). Some of the pillows were extremely flat. Literally 1" at best when you lay on it. This is what I expect at a low budget hotel ... not at the Hyatt Place. The high parking fee was also a surprise. It may have been buried in fine print during reservation process (not sure), but it caused the nightly stay price to increase by 30%. The location was very good ... 2 blocks from Broadway ("the main drag"). However, there are other properties that probably provide a better stay ... Drury Inn was next door. I have stayed at Hyatts before and the experience at this location was the complete opposite. This location is not well run. They post policies that are not followed or adhered to, and the service was lacking probably due to not being properly staffed. I obviously would not recommend this property, nor would I stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time and providing us with your feedback- I'm glad you liked the hotel and our cleanliness made a good impression on you but I'm sorry to see we failed at the front desk. I can assure you this kind of service is not typical for us and I'll discuss your concerns with the Front Office leadership team immediately. I'll work closely with them to ensure this doesn't happen again. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and thank you for staying with us.
