This hotel is positioning itself and charging rates as a normal hotel, it is not. From the words of the front desk person upon finding out they only clean the rooms once a week unless you want pay extra for it, "Sir, this is a transient hotel". Uh..what? 1) There was significant mold on the seam about a foot above the tub. You couldn't' see it from standing but seated on the toilet you could about a 1/4" line of solid mold. Also, the ceiling was painted over previous mold, not cleaned. Disgusting and dangerous. 2) No carpeting, hard wood floors. I spilled something on the floor, used a towel to wipe it up. The towel was black after that. The floors hadn't been moped in at least a week. Probably longer. 3) The fitted sheet slipped off to reveal a large disgusting stain right near my face. No idea what it was, don't want to know. 4) The bathroom handle came off when I tried to open it. Asked the front desk to fix it and look at shower rod that was hanging by a thread. Returned later to see the handle was back on but once again it came off in my hand. They just pushed it back on like I had done. 5) Oddly, the back door of the property had a note that said "Please don't take the door apart". Next night: taken apart. This is bizarre and a safety issue. 6) The "beds" are more like a cot than a bed. See the pictures. The staff was pretty nice, considering it all. It's the people who manage it that are to blame. For the same price you can stay down the road at a "normal" hotel.

Easy to park. Easy to travel to the main areas of Nashville. Large room and worked out real well when staying for a week or longer. Parking was covered and the rooms were quiet. When we needed extra towels or anything else, all we had to do was ask.

Perhaps it depends greatly on who your "neighbors" are. Big foot was in the room above me, and there was a smoker on my floor... I don't know if the stench came in from under the door or through the vents... The car parked in the compact space next to mine was an SUV - obviously the hotel can't control this but I wondered, in what world is a SUV a compact car??!!! Now for the good stuff. Check in agent was very nice and pointed me toward a very nice nearby restaurant. The room is modern and clean, comfy bed, kitchen with full fridge and microwave which is great for those with extended stays. Fortunately I was only there for one night. You get what you pay for and hotel rooms around Vanderbilt are rather limited. There were lots of families, kids crying in neighboring rooms. Good option for long term stays if you're at Vandy.

Staying here from out of state while my father is at Vanderbilt having a heart and kidney transplant — this will be our home away from home for a bit...and...well it’s not very accommodating. They have laundry on-site but 2 of the machines are out of order and the other two are questionable as water sits in one and detergent sits in the other.. and speaking of sitting - there’s no where in there to sit while I wait on my laundry. There’s vending machines in there...but after inserting $2...I still wasn’t able to get a cold soda...the door was wonky on the machine —- it’d take my money just fine...but no soda in return. Just keep this in mind when searching for a place based on amenities and offerings.

Our flight got in to Nashville in the morning before check-in time, and my group arrived at the hotel expecting to ask to leave our bags until our room was ready, but much to our delight there was one ready for us. There were no frills but it was clean, had a fridge, and the ac/heat worked well. It did, however, smell of stale cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room which was a bummer. The staff was friendly and allowed us to leave our bags for a few extra hours after we checked out, as well.
