This is your standard fare, huge and impersonal, conference center hotel. Since what makes these cookie-cutter places stand out is service, this hotel has a long way to go before it can reflect a 4-5 star rating. It recently opened so the decor and rooms are in good shape. The staff on the other end... For starters at check-in there is no ELITE status line so you are stuck waiting in a long line if there are clusters at busy arrival times. Because room was not ready upon check in I was directed to the spa to change to get ready for a meeting. Upon arriving at the spa I was told that I was not allowed and to use the restroom to change. When I finally received a room, the feather-free request had not been honored and so they sent housekeeping to the room to fix it. Turns out housekeeping instructed me to make the bed with them. So late at night, tired and paying over $600 a night, am making a bed along with housekeeping. Finally there had been a flood in the hallway, what caused it was not communicated, but instead they ran dryer fans outside the room all night long. When sharing this feedback with hotel management, the response was "As a teachable moment, we have shared your feedback with the appropriate individuals to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place to prevent the opportunities you experienced from occurring in the future." This hotel needs to do more customer service training.

Ok so this is completely out of the hands of the hotel. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are awesome and staff is great. There is construction going on directly across the street and it has been going on since before 7:00 am hence my review at this time. It’s so loud i tried to do some work and that is not even possible. Went out for a work conference last night and zero chance of getting any rest at all. If you are traveling for work I’d try somewhere else or request to be facing away from the city if you want any type of rest.

We enjoyed hosting you on your recent trip to Nashville, and we thank you for your kind words regarding our friendly staff and elegant designs. As you noted, our prime downtown location, close to so many local attractions, is on the rise. While we are excited to be in the center of such a vibrant area, this can at times result in some construction noise, and for this, we sincerely apologize. We always do our best to accommodate room requests, and for those light sleepers, we ask that they please let us know at the time of booking so that we may provide them with a quieter location. We appreciate you taking the time to share your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to win you over with a more flawless experience on your next visit to Music City. Sincerely, Hayley Kilgo JW Marriott Nashville

It was our 23rd anniversary, it was time to go big or go home. This hotel had been opened just a few months.I had seen it being built on a trip in May and knew i had to stay there. It truly is a piece of art. It was November and rate was 400/night. Great view, hi-tech room, plush robes, turn down service with chocolates. staff had soothing music playing when we got in room that night. Staff actively friendly and courteous. Boubon steakhouse continued the awesome service experience. best view in nashville at bourbon steakhouse. Do I really have to say the meal was flawless? Meal was 200.00 for us including drinks. For once a year, worth every dime. parking about 40-50 dollars. one block to the arena. about three blocks to Tootsies. Safe, enjoyable walk. If you have special occasion coming up, dont go cheap on your spouse. At J W Marriott you will experience cool, luxury.....if just for one night.
