2021 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
The Fairlane Hotel is a luxe hotel in downtown Nashville that brings back the style and personality of the 1960's and 70's. Steps from the action on Broadway, the hotel's retro-modern rooms (complete with era-appropriate décor and details) pair well with the vibrant lobby and 4th floor terrace restaurant and bar - Ellington’s. To top it all off, a 4,000 square foot penthouse is decked to the nines with mid-century flair and boasts a wraparound terrace, providing the best views of the Music City.

Here are the positives about the Fairlane: It's newer and modern. My 8th floor corner room was immaculate, compact, had a really comfortable bed, and was well designed with a couple of exceptions. The location is excellent for access to downtown sites and restaurants. I felt safe walking around during the day. The drawbacks: Starting with the valet service when I first arrived, I had a carry-on and a large heavy suitcase in the trunk of my car. The valet watched as I pulled it out and only after I got it on the ground did he ask me if I wanted help. When I checked out, the valet brought my car and parked in the traffic lane, blocking traffic, despite a wide parking space at the curb in front. The valet did not offer to help me with luggage on that occasion, either. I have not had this happen before. After I checked in I used the lobby restroom around the corner. Neither stall had any toilet paper. One stall had a box of facial tissue on the toilet tissue holder. When I turned the water over the sink on, it made a loud rumbling noise in the pipes as though it needed repairing. My room had floor to ceiling windows extending to the adjacent bathroom. The windows had heavy and sheer draperies hanging from the curtain rod. When one is the the bathroom with the draperies open to allow in natural light, office workers from the buildings across the street have a full view into the bathroom. The upper portion of the tiled shower was designed with small see through glass squares, allowing a view of the person showering. I'm sure that appeals to some people; it didn't to me, nor did the open window view of the bathroom from the building across the street. Though a desk chair was provided, there was no comfortable chair for reading, nor was there room for one. The Fairlane felt like a "hipster" hotel to me, which is not my kind of place. It clearly appeals to many people, based on the positive reviews. Nothing was bad - the Fairlane just did not appeal to me.

So glad to have booked this property. Unique experience, great location, beautiful property. Enjoyed being so close to restaurant and bars to explore after an 8:30pm arrival. Thanks for the extra hour or two on check out! Will be back for a longer stay next time.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, in a convenient location between Printer’s Alley & all the downtown bars. The rooftop pop up Bouquet Bar was gorgeous. The staff at the front door valet, front desk & the fashionista taking us to the penthouse pop up were so friendly & welcoming & helpful. The bed was comfy, the corner room was huge. I do not have one complaint. I would be hard pressed to find a better stay in Nashville.

Thumbs up to Adam! Third, the hotel was extremely clean and aesthetically appealing. Fourth, the bed was dreamy! I highly recommend the Fairlane Hotel!
