This hotel is absolutely stunning and the staff could not have been more accommodating, welcoming or professional. They make you feel like the hotel is your home away from home (despite how grand and exquisite it is) and I felt that nothing was spared to make the rooms as comfortable as they could be. The mattresses, linens, towels and toiletries are top of the line and I had two of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had because of this and because the room and the hotel was so quiet during the night. Even though it was very cold in Nashville (because it’s December) I couldn’t even hear the heat blowing in the room…it was that quiet!

Everybody knows that the Hermitage Hotel is the best in Tennessee, but the Christmas decorations made it even more beautiful. Breathtakingly appointed rooms, excellent in-room service. We had a drink in the lobby in front of the beautiful fireplace and it was perfect!.

We come to Nashville in December to "kick off" the Christmas Holiday season. We enjoy staying at The Hermitage although for the last 2 stays our room didn't have the TV in the bathroom mirror. My husband uses that as he gets up hours before me and doesn't want to wake me by turning on the TV in our room.

I talked to a manager but no response. We used to come here every time we came to Nashville. This time they delayed our rooms. Booked thru Amex but they treated us as “deep discount” hotel guests. They checked us in to one room at 330 and then moved both rooms at 540. We wanted to go to high tea but it was sold out. We ordered tea from front desk. English as a second language didn’t get it right as all we got was a tea pot. No water. No cups. No tea. Just a pot. This is laughable as a top tier hotel. This is a bldg milking its history for profit.

We enjoy staying at the Hermitage anytime we make an overnight trip to Nashville. It is gorgeous and the rooms are spacious and impeccable. No matter the time of year you visit, the joyful spirit of everyone is always the same. Although, December is our favorite due to the spirit of the season as well as it being our anniversary month.

We love historic hotels and this did not disappoint!! Tom Vickstrom, the hotel historian, spent an hour regaling us with tales of the history of the hotel. The hotel is in an amazing state of preservation. We were greeted by the receptionist upon arrival, shown to our room, which was amazing. There is daily housekeeping service, turn down service, and the staff fills the ice bucket every evening. The lobby bar is great, we dined at the main restaurant which was delicious and had fantastic service. Overall, a five star experience - we will definitely stay again on our next visit to Nashville!

We agree that Tom is exceptional, for a deeper dive into our heritage , you might enjoy exploring the "Our Story" page on our website: Also, thank you for your comments regarding your dining experience at Drusie & Darr, by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The restaurant is named after siblings Drusie and Darr Hall, the children of one of the hotel’s former General Managers . They lived and played at The Hermitage in the 60s. We are very proud that Jean-Georges chose The Hermitage as the location for his first restaurant in the Southeastern United States. We look forward to your return visit in 2024 !
