Our room appeared clean, but had a moldy smell. We turned down the thermostat to try to dehumidify and hopefully rid the room of the smell, but it remained throughout our visit. The hotel is located relatively close to the Gaylord Convention Center (~1 mile), and it is good that the hotel offers a shuttle for only $10 for the entire stay. However, their small passenger van does not run frequently enough to accommodate a larger convention where there are multiple guests trying to go to the convention center in a similar time period. Therefore, we ended up paying for Uber most of the time (cost of $7-$11 per one-way trip). This hotel is a pretty good option, but be prepared to make alternate plans to get to the convention center if there are many guests attending the same conference. Note that parking for the day at the Gaylord convention center is $32 ($40 to valet). There is free parking by the Regal Cinema at nearby Opry Mills, if you want to make the short (<1/2 mile) walk to the Gaylord Convention Center.

We are sorry the shuttle service was unsatisfactory during your stay. Our shuttle van is the same size as other hotels in this area but one and their shuttle is half the size of ours. We deal with conventions on a daily basis and like with other large conventions we made several trips during the allotted time for the convention center trips.

Hotel rates are getting very rough in the Nashville area. This Courtyard out near Opryland provides good rates and a nice place to stay for business travel during the week. When rates are too high downtown this is my go to for Nashville business travel.

I wanted to share my recent experience at your Courtyard by Marriott property. On June 21st my daughter’s lacrosse team traveled to Nashville from Austin, Tx. Our team hotel was .3 miles from your property, and without going into details about the other property....it was not inhabitable and I was not going to waste good money for an unbearable weekend stay. When calling around for other Marriott properties, the manager on duty Erin assured me they had a room available. After being refunded my stay at the other property and being hesitant about a check in at another hotel in the area, Erin let Phil show us a room on site to assure us what our accommodations would be. Erin’s ability to be supportive, trustworthy, and patient was the absolute best customer service for an out of town guest that I could have hoped for. All staff from Starbucks to welcoming us with a friendly hello to and from lacrosse games over the weekend was very nice. The additional above and beyond experience was after all our games on Saturday were canceled and playing 5 games on Sunday in a mud pit at Moss Field park, my daughter was covered head to toe in mud and we were scheduled for a flight at 7pm. I was concerned for my daughter’s health and comfort with mud stuck to every inch of her body and having to fly/travel in airports for 7 hours stinky and gross. Since I have Elite Gold status, I called the property back. I explained our situation to Mark. Mark listened to our situation with patience and got in touch with Erin who was on break till 3pm. Mark understood our situation and make the judgement call to get in touch with Erin....again he didn’t have to listen to our situation. Erin again was sympathetic to our disaster of a weekend and let us back into our room to shower in time for a 2pm checkout. This may seem small and obvious customer service, but I assure you not every staff member at a hotel would have reacted in the same manner. The team at the Courtyard Marriott Opryland has an above and beyond customer service attitude that shows with their team work and caring demeanor. My family and I travel for lacrosse extensively all over the country and this is by far the best experience we have ever had at any property. Found takeout container full of food was left in the fridge along with other trash in the room - housekeeping came and got it. Air conditioner wasn't working, they replaced it with a new one. Both times front desk offered to move us to a new room but we were staying a week on business and I had already cloroxed all surfaces and unpacked (yes, I clorox all surfaces when going to hotels). So the hotel did a good job addressing the issues. Overall the stay was average and okay and quiet. We were on the 4th floor. I liked the close proximity to the gaylord and opryland. If we return to the area we will most likely stay at the KOA just down the street, or at the Gaylord or even the Residence Inn.

Our visit got off on a bit of a rocky start with a front desk employee that didn't seem very familiar with the online check-in, but a Manager intervened and everything went smoothly from there. The hotel is fairly quiet and is located across the street from Opryland. Plenty of restaurants close by, but there's a bit of a drive to downtown. Overall, a pleasant stay and we would certainly consider staying here again.
