I come to Nashville often and have stayed at most of the Marriott properties downtown near the arena. This time we wanted to try the Westin and we are pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a nice young man at the valet station who helped us get in the hotel quickly. The front desk representative, Apoorv, was extremely warm and welcoming and upgraded us to the best room I have stayed at in Nashville. We plan to try the lounge tonight before the game. I will definitely book this hotel on my next trip in February. Well done Westin.

My wife and I went last week for our 25th wedding anniversary and New Year’s celebration. Overall, our stay was not a pleasant experience. I’m a platinum Elite member and this was one of the worst stays I have had at a Marriott brand hotel. While changing to go into the sauna after my couples massage, I received a phone call wanting to know why we had left our luggage in the room after checkout. We had prepaid for 2 more days and had not checked out. I had to cut my spa services short to go talk to a minimally, apologetic supervisor name Matt. Earlier that morning, the wait staff at the breakfast restaurant seemed unhappy to be working on New Year’s Eve which was evident in their poor service and attitude. The service during the next two days at breakfast from the same wait staff was much better. When I got home and reviewed my bill there was an erroneous charge for $973.79. Currently, I am waiting for supervisors come to work so I can have the charge removed from my bill. According to the front desk personnel erroneous charges are very common at this hotel. The room was clean, but the sheer curtains had been removed and the refrigerator did not work.

The Westin at Nashville is a great hotel to stay in downtown Nashville, only a few blocks from broadway street. You don’t have any free parking options so your choice is a $50 valet daily charge with unlimited access. You can find close parking for $20 but you can’t check in and out. It’s also on the far edge of the hotel options in downtown Nashville close to a train station so not ideal location. These two factors is why I rate it 4/5 stars. Otherwise staff is great and rooms are a decent size. Lobby looks nice and overall not a bad place to stay at all.

Covid is the reason for bad service and deceitful amenities claims. When booking I was told the top floor lounge was available, restaurant, evening conc. service, etc. Which is why I paid so much for a suite with conf table, kitchenette. Well none of that happened. No microwave in kitchenette, in-fact nothing in there, "because of Covid". Restaurant all day/night menu was only until 10PM. No top floor evening horsduerves, drinks or lounge "because of covid". Had to order grubhub and go to front desk to pay and pickup. Food was terrible, got sick from the greasy chicken wings. The Bars Bloody Mary was from can mix and was awful. Extremely unhappy. The Spa was the only highlight.
