Our downtown Nashville luxury boutique hotel. There’s no place like Nashville, the perennial Southern crossroads that refuses to be typecast. And at the heart of this little big town’s explosive growth, our luxury boutique hotel in The Gulch is the place to be. Sharing the block with beloved bluegrass and roots music icon The Station Inn, Thompson Hotels celebrates this city’s creative spirit, with Nashville’s own Hastings Architecture Associates and Executive Chef Nathan Duensing weaving an energetic new neighborhood luxury hotel destination into the local fabric. Join us on the rooftop bar for porch sippin’ cocktails, twenty regional brews and spectacular views from downtown Nashville to SoBro. Then head down to Marsh House restaurant for a seafood-focused, Gulf-to-Gulch take on Southern cooking, driven by the bounty of our local farmers and makers.

I stayed for one night midweek. The hotel is located in a convenient part of town for walking to places. I checked in very early (10.00am) and they were able to give me a room and I got to work. The room was modern and nicely furnished with WiFi and Big TV. Good sized bathroom and overall a very pleasing decor. The bed was comfortable and linens felt good quality. I could not use the fitness center but the Marsh Restaurant was excellent and the bar at the top of the hotel has a tremendous view. I can only imagine how busy that would be in non COVID times. I would definitely book in here again on my next Nashville trip.

This is one of our very hotels. The bellman and valet were quick and attentive, especially Nelson. Lana, from the front desk was very thoughtful and had a bottle of champagne waiting (we were celebrating our 28th anniversary. I had called to upgrade our corner king room to a suite, but they were sold out) The LA Jackson bar is just great. The views are fantastic. Our server James and bartender Sam took excellent care of us. Made great suggestions and they were spot on. We had room service numerous times. The food was very good and delivered quickly with all necessary utensils and condiments. The only critique we have is of Marsh House. The menu is very small. And service was not in keeping with the rest of the property. We will definitely stay again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. It's located in the best part of town for tourists but doesn't get too wild. I stayed for over a week and enjoyed it! I highly recommend staying in the Thompson, but get your spot in line for the rooftop bar early if it's the weekend.

I love the location, The Gulch, of the hotel. Tons of restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping nearby. Yet, felt like a different world from Downtown Nashville where most tourists stay, which I was not a fan of Broadway street (too many drunk tourists and face masks were worn minimally). Rooms were spacious, minimal, soft, clean, and modern with hints of retro. I loved the food offerings (LA Jackson rooftop), Killebrew coffee in the lobby, and the Marsh House. Room service was minimal but understandable due to Covid. Tip: rooms facing the Main Street will hear plenty of street noise due to all the party buses that drive by through the the hotel Fitness center: medium size with several cardio machines (2 Peloton)and free weights. However, no room for stretching or yoga.

The Thompson is a modern hotel that draws a fun vibe to its rooftop bar/restaurant. Probably one of the nicest hang out spots in the area. Nice rooms with large windows. Friendly staff. I especially want to thank Nelson, one of the bellman, for being a true gentleman that took a sincere interest in making sure our stay was the best it could be even though we were only there one night.
