This traditional, old station hotel, opposite the old railway stop, offers simple yet comfortable accommodation. A spacious room with comfortable bed, clean linen and hot water for his and her showers (!) looked out over the outside terrace to the road. Dinner was really excellent, plentiful and well cooked although, to us visiting Brits, local people seemed to eat early and...

Yea was a central location for a catch up with friends from Melbourne and Shepparton, a fairly plain looking exterior but don't let that be the judge as once you step into the place you see a very charming rustic look. Our lunch was of a very high standard with beaming comments from the steak eaters on our table, my...

We have just returned from a one night stay at the Peppercorn Hotel, Yea. What a beautiful place, the owners Kelly & Chris made us feel so welcome and the place itself is cosy and full of character. We ate at the hotel on Saturday night and the food was great, beautifully prepared and delicious. Try the pork belly! We...

Had dinner recently at this little establishment in Yea. The building appears like a well maintained country pub on the street front - and with a classic wide verandah. On the inside there's a beautifully presented and furnished dining room and a quiet lounge bar to the side. The place is surprisingly formal in appearance. The menu is excellent and...

Unfortunately The Peppercorn accommodation was booked out when we tried to stay there but my husband & I had dinner there. What a stunning old pub, it has a fantastic atmosphere. The owners were so friendly & the calamari was probably the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back to stay a few nights!!!

This hotel restaurant is excellent we celebrated a birthday there and you could not fault it ! The staff were friendly and the setting was great for a very enjoyable evening with a roaring fire making a great atmosphere on a cold night. The biggest hit was the food, everyone enjoyed their meal and the steak was cooked to perfection...

We'd planned a day trip to the snow and my GF proposed instead of doing the drive all in one day perhaps we should leave the day before and stay in Yea .......we let our fingers do the walking and do you know what convinced us to stay at Peppercorn?.....the menu and I tell you it didn't disappoint, the chef...

The atmosphere and service at the Peppercorn were both excellent. Fish and chips were fresh and tasty and good value for money. Will be back to try the Sunday Seafood that I am told is really good. Lovely part of Victoria.

Called in on our way back from a weekend in sassafrass, accidentally missing all the wineries and were ready for lunch. It happened to be seafood sunday, though there standard menu was also available. The host was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and explained the menu well. We went with the seafood platter for 2 at $90.00 and were pleasantly surprised...
