a 2 night stop over on the way home from Canberra, the park had a lot of "grey nomads" and happy hour was a must - welcoming fire and a friendly group of caravanners, Lisa is hostess, upwards of 20 people sitting around the fire next to the lake. The park is a 5 minute walk to main street and... More

The park is well maintained and the sites are large. The owners are friendly and helpful The park fire pit is a social gathering where information is swapped by well travelled nomads and short term travellers.A short walk to town and a good base for winery touring or fish in the lake

A very serene camp by the lake. Varied feathered wildlife including tawny frogmouth owls. Easy walk to town and eateries. Wonderful rail trail to bike around the area and visit wineries. Also walking distance to local golf course. The parks owners Dennis and Lisa are very accomodating and will also provide a warming fire by the lake for happy hour,... More

This small caravan park is one block back from the Main Street in Rutherglen and is well maintained. Situated on the bank of King Lake it is a peaceful place. The camp fire is lit around 4pm and is a nice social hour or so with other travellers Facilities - toilets, showers, camp Kitchen and laundry are clean and adequate.

Stayed here in a tent on a powered site over Easter with children 9 & 11 years. Brilliant. Site was flat and huge, took our large tent, four bikes, car and trailer and still had space. Amenities were recently redone, plenty of shower hooks and almost endless hot water. You can walk to town, it's two small blocks, walk to... More

This is a great place to explore the wineries of Rutherglen and is an easy walk into the town. The park managers were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the 4.30pm happy hour and view looking out to the lake. The ammenties were very clean.

The powered sites were far from level and the surrounds were so dry with very little grass. The managers/owners were very friendly and the amenities were basic but quite good. The photos in the website must have been taken during better times.

A very peaceful park by a lovely lake. The park itself has no pool or playground, however there is an awesome council playground directly out the front and an inexpensive council pool next door. The park is clean and there is a nice community drinks by the lake most afternoons

Upon ringing to book a cabin as a stop over point on a long car drive I experienced exceptional assistance in securing a cabin with a layout to suit the needs of my young family. Two separate bedrooms off the living area with a deep shower suitable for bathing the kids was perfect. Even better was the recommendation to call... More

Stayed mid week for 1 night on our way back to Melbourne. Was shown 2 cabins, one was $110 alongside the toilet/shower block and the other $125 with a beaut view of the lake and impending sunset. Decided on this one. It was very clean and comfortable and at top dollar would expect nothing less. We were invited to happy... More
