We were excited about going on a two day break and had booked this hotel for a Monday and Tuesday. It is an amazing building in a very pretty historic town and is pricey. When I asked if dinner was served that night the officious lady at reception brusquely advised that there was nothing served on Mondays and Tuesdays -...

Such a beautiful place but needs updating. New owners are working on it. Lovely staff. Breakfast is included and v. Good. However let down by the coffee - Luke warm filtered. Great croissants and poachedeggs soft! Nice touches with free water, wi fi and chocolates. New firm beds and pillows of different sizes which pleased my husband. New sheets &...

The room was average but we felt it was getting run down - windows not clean - furniture old but bed very comfy - breakfast experience shocking - no one to greet us - kids running amok and touching what little food there was - no glasses, no crockery and very poor and sparse selection of food - nothing looked...

The hotel has a lot of history and the building itself has been restored to its former glory. The room was small but the bed was comfy! The hotel was having problems with its water system so the shower wasn't great, but they gave me a $20 discount on my room at check out which was lovely of them to...

Turned up on a Saturday Night after having booked and paid for accommodation only to find that they had given our room to a walk in and then offered no other solution. Really couldn't give a hoot for the situation we were placed in didn't care that we were meant to be in Rye the next day and had travelled...

The room was a standard double with a king sized bed. It is heritage accommodation so the room is quite small and compact. Having said that, it was well designed and adequate for our needs, with attractive furnishings. Very small TV. Bathroom was a good size but the shower was a modular one so no that large. The hotel is...

We stayed in Vue Grand Hotel for 1 night with my husband in December 2016. It was a very nice stay in a historical building, in the city centre, close to everything. The room was good, a bit outdated but overall we had a very good impression. Would have stayed for another night if we spent more time in the...

Definitely not what we where expecting after viewing the photos on there website. Very small rooms, our windows didn't open so there was no ventilation in the room, outdated and felt very prison like after hours with no parking on site. Roof top bar was about the only plus for our stay, in saying that being a spirits drinker, wasn't...

We love this grand old hotel - such a wonderful ambience and history. Being in the grand dining room is like going back in time - such a unique experience. We were lucky enough to have the Bay View suite - the views were fabulous and it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in. It was a shame...

We received such a warm welcome (and a free drink voucher) on Saturday from the lovely lady at reception, so we fell in love with the hotel there and then. The room was a bit tired but very comfortable and the large private balcony was a great place to chill out. We couldn't make it to the bar on Saturday...
