We had arrived after 3 days and just over 2500km motorbike ride to SA. The team was helpful and engaging. One of the better Inns/Pubs we've stayed in. Thanks Chris and Sally for the welcome and great food. We will be back.

The lady who looked after us was very helpful and obliging, The food was average and serving sizes very small and tasteless for the price. Wouldn't go back as value for money is not there. The building itself if lovely and great to see the bygone era being preserved.

Too expensive for what you get. $30 for a steak sandwich, with two of the tiniest soldiers of sourdou I've ever seen. The smallest bit of relish on the side and a basic Greek salad and small side of chips. The steak was over cooked and the flavour wasn't the best either. No steak knives provided so had to saw...

Management response:

We are sorry to have disappointed you. We changed the presentation of the steak sandwich based on other feedback we received from our customers. We will reconsider our plating. You should have been provided with the correct cutlery. This was a poor oversight by the wait staff. All meals are cooked to order, the pork slider doesn't come from the...

My hubby and I ate here yesterday and all I have to say is thank you to the two lovely owners and their polite wait staff. We were told there was a wait due on food due to being at full capacity and were offered a nice spot out the front to have a drink while we wait. We ordered...

We had a really special and memorable lunch here. The Inn is in a great position in Queenscliff and has a really lovely old-worldy, traditional and special atmosphere. All the wait staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. In particularly the female owner was incredibly kind and friendly and made the lunch here very memorable. I would definitely recomend ordering...

We decided to quickly drop in after spending all day at the beach for a bite to eat before heading home. Dressed in our beach wear we were warmly welcomed but warned they were busy and our meals could be some time. We ordered quickly, two kids fish and chips, a risotto and calamari. It came out within 20 minutes...

The wait staff were very friendly and pleasant but that's about all the positive comments I have to say. Took a long time for drinks to come. The burger I ordered was wet and they must have run out of actual burger buns as they used some ciabatta like bread instead but didn't bother to inform me. I think they...

Your comments have been passed onto the staff and taken advisedly as the critique of the food is important to us. Commenting on our honesty is another matter, we're all quite happy that you won't be returning.

We spent 2 nights at Circa 1902, from walking in the door we felt welcomed by Sally and Chris. 2 hosts always with a smile made our stay more enjoyable. Rooms are large, clean and smell amazing thanks to Sally's beautiful wine bottle candles displayed everywhere (check them out!). If dining for lunch try the pulled pork roll with chips......

We had an early Christmas lunch with some of our family in the 'Circa 1902' at the weekend. The service was excellent, staff very friendly and professional, meals were very enjoyable and were good serving sizes not like some of the disgustingly large servings you get in some places which encourage gluttony. Prices were very reasonable too. All round a...

They saved me from camping hell with the only room left in the town during the music festival. That said, the hotel is a relic of the past and out of step with hotel offerings of that price range. A late cancellation meant I was offered the family room, which consisted of a double bed and two single beds. The...
