Just the one night passing through from Snowy Ride motorbike event in Jindabyne . We all loved the spacious atmospheric old hotel , the friendly staff and the huge tasty meals in particular ! As another reviewer notes pizzas are huge not to be ordered lightly ! But oh so tasty, 2 of us both took half pizza home (...

I recently spent a Saturday and Sunday night at The Golden Age. I was travelling with my father (77) and his cousin (79) on a 'trip down memory lane' visit to the area. We stayed in balcony rooms (1 family and 1 double), both with ensuites. Great big rooms with comfortable beds, linen and all amenities supplied. Water was hot...

After a very long day on our motorcycles we had checked into the place across the road. Time for refreshing beers, a meal and debrief the day's ride. The Golden Age looks fantastic with its Art Deco exterior dominating the road scene in Omeo. Inside we were met by very friendly and helpful bar staff. They'd had a big day...

Ordered food and drinks at the bar from the friendly barman. The lamb backstraps serve was fine and a generous serve of three pieces. But what made the meal memorable was the chocolate volcano and I asked for icecream on the side. The other desserts looked good too so it was a difficult decision.

Stayed here on our way to Lakes Entrance after coming over Mt Hotham. The bar is great, good service and meals and a good atmosphere but the accommodation upstairs is nothing to rave about. Paid $200 per night for a room that was dirty, the bathroom was makey and smelt like it had not been cleaned in years. The beds...

Stayed overnight. Bar and catering staff were really great. Room were fine, not outstanding but this is not a high priced property so it was acceptable. Showers were over the bath which could cause some issues for more mature folk. Breakfast was good, and included in the cost. I would stay again.

We stopped for an early dinner on a Saturday evening, it was nice and quiet and lots of available tables. Service was great we ordered and the food came out really quick. The cheesy garlic bread was really good and the meal sizes were huge! We had the option to takeaway what we couldn't finish. Great value for the low...

On our recent trip to Omeo everyone we spoke to recommend we have dinner at the Golden Age. So on our first night (AFL grand final day) we headed over to the pub and were suprised at how busy it was for a small country town. We almost didn't get a table! But considering how busy it was, service was...

Recently caught up with family In omeo and was recommended the golden age by locals. The meals are a great quality and size, if not to hungry for lunch look at there smaller sized meals. I had the smaller serve steak and was cooked to perfection. Staff where friendly and typical county pub, they even light the wood fire to...
