We were able to have comfortable beds for an affordable price during peak season. After being out late to see the penguins, we didn't have to worry about check in, it was easy... a key was left for us after reception closed. Young crowd outside on a weekend hanging out, but once every one is inside they respect being quieter....

Hostel is situated just as you arrive onto Phillip island from mainland, which is perfect if you have a car. We went to penguin parade which was good 20min drive from hostel. We stayed in a ensuite 4 dorm which was very clean but missing just a few things like the plug sockets were badly placed, no shower mat so...

This was a decent hostel to stay in: comfortable, clean, a decent kitchen, and in a good location at the entrance to the island. Rules around closure of the kitchen, lounge, etc. in the evening are earlier and more strictly enforced than I would like, and the "free Wi-Fi hotspot" listed on the YHA site was either not present or...

First time ever using a 'backpackers' style accommodation (at 66) and found it to be very good. Moto GP weekend meant every hotel was booked up for miles so took a chance on this, had a bed in a room of 4 bunks (made sure I got there early to get a bottom bunk) with it's own wc and shower....

This is a backpackers with some private rooms (shower and toilet), in which we stayed. The rooms are basic (simple single mattress double bed) but of a good size. It is at the other end of the island to the penguins but the drive time is only 20 minutes. There was nothing great about the accommodation but also nothing terrible.

This was a great hostel for exploring Phillip Island (with a car). The kitchen is huge and well equipped and lots of food storage space. I was lucky enough to have a 4 bedded dorm with private bathroom to myself - perfect! The hostel was really empty during my stay. This would not be ideal if you wanted to socialise,...

I have been here with friends and I can tell you that this hotel is crappy and in disgust. The beds were tiny, small ( only around 1 square feet per bed) without any private lamps for each person to use. Instead there is only a main switch where all lamps can be switched off in a touch of a...

My friend commented that this is one of the better hostels that she had tried so far. It's my first time staying at hostel and the stay is definitely better than my expectation. We booked 4-bedder with private bathroom. It's clean and convenient. Just a note to bring your own towel. It was just a little unlucky that the elevator...
