Basic country motel which was easy walking distance to town. Motel shower lacked water pressure and it was quite noisy on the night we stayed due to the dog show being held at the Sportsground (animals were outside the motel rooms scratching in their trailers). The room was clean and comfortable though no Wi-Fi. Okay for short stay.

The Golden Leaf Motel can be best described as just another country motel. Nothing to write home about, clean and tidy, breakfast was poor so I suggest eat in town. Motel is located approx. 1 km from town so easy walk. Wifi was poor as is in most country towns, unable to get signal . Host didn't show a lot... More

Turned up after midnight and had difficulty finding the motel as all lights were off at the road side and there were no street lights. Luckily we had seen the motel on a previous visit to the town so knew roughly where to look for it. The owners said the next morning that the signs are turned off at midnight,... More

Stayed here on our way up to Mt Hotham. The beds were fresh, clean and comfy however the bathroom was very basic. Only one face cloth between 3 people, one small towel each with no spares and industrial soap dispenser in the shower. Table, chairs and toaster but no microwave or cutlery. Too expensive for such basic facilities. No WiFi

We decided to take some friends to the high country for the long weekend. Booked over the phone, The rooms were comfortable and reasonably clean, (a bit of dust on shelves and chairs) The rooms have just been renovated, but the knobs are still falling off the tap handles and the washers need changing in the bathroom, and the mirror... Its the first time I have been in Myrtleford this past weekend and we stayed at this motel; the room was a nice size with a very pleasant bathroom. Felt everything was clean and well presented. Would be happy to go back again. Reception was very pleasant when we arrived and when we left.

We always stay at the Golden Leaf Motel on the way to Mount Hotham for our ski holidays with our 3 kids. We book the family room which is comfortable and there are a couple of little pubs nearby you can go for dinner. They also offer breakfast in the morning. It is only an hour or so drive up... More

Good place to stay for cyclists doing the rail trails. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spacious and comfortable. A quiet place to stay, modern and clean. We were able to leave our car there for a couple of days while riding the rail trails at no cost.

My kids and I have stayed here several times on our way to Falls Creek from Melbourne - and again a few weeks ago. It is the perfect break to the long trip and the hospitality is awesome. The rooms are always super clean and well equipped. Nothing is too much trouble if you ask the lovely hosts, Nada and... More
