Was there overnight, arriving late evening and early departure, there was no reception attendance during the our whole stay but didn't affect our experience. Our key was left with clear instructions and check out was easy as returning the key to a basket. The beds were comfy and the wall heater was efficient. All the information about the area could... The check-in starts at 5 pm. There is only 2 people working at this hostel, even if we were on a long holidays. They care more about their snakes than the guests. The kids have a great time with the wallabys in front of the hostel. It is great if you are independant.

We stayed here having over Queens birthday weekend- having stayed here with our 2 boys over 6 years ago and found it to be ideal. No longer is there a seperate TV area downstairs - this was full of broken furniture - and appeared to be a junk room - the garden was cluttered with ladders and junk - old... More

I have to say I found the hostel itself quite disappointing. It wasn't bad, but in the previous similar backpacker hostels I've stayed at, amongst National Parks, Blue Mountains, Thredbo etc I've come to expect these usually to be the best hostels to stay in. Especially a place as prestigious, beautiful & popular as The Grampians. The Grampians itself did... More

I was so amazed with this amazing & cheap place! The owner is a genuinely nice person who's looking after you and not just after your money. After getting there quite late with no food, he didn't hesitate to call his wife who was on her way back to bring some food from the supermarket since the one in Halls... More

The family that run the hostel are lovely and even lit the fires for us in the living room. Had a great atmosphere and two little kitchen spaces. Had views of the Grampians and even had chooks roaming around the backyard which was accessible through the sliding doors on each room. Was quiet and very modern and clean. Recommend it... More

I found this hostel to be peaceful and relaxing. It was nice to get away from the loud party hostels you find in Melbourne. I liked the fact it was within walking distance of the supermarket, Venus baths and the Pinnacle. You got lovely views from the outside area of the hostel. I found it frustrating that staff were rarely... More

The hostel was located right next to the mountains. It's a perfect place to stay to explore the Grampians. You can even find kangaroos hopping about in the backyard. The place was generally clean and quiet. You can meet all different sorts of people there. If you wish to climb the Pinnacle and do not have a car, the other... More

I was here with a friend for 2 nights to see the Grampians National Park. Friendly wife and husband that run the hostel. They live on-site with their kids. Their man friend is a very lovely fellow.
