This property is breathtaking. The redgum cottage is nice and cosy. Access to fire wood to keep you feeling nice and warm on those cold nights. Waking up to awe inspiring views with grazing kangaroos and emus every morning was incredible. A+ for friendly staff and service

What a wonderful experience staying at the terrific Pioneer Cottages owned by Aiden and Corrine. We stayed in the Log Cabin which very spacious. Wonderful kitchen if you wish to cook in - just bring your food - the cottage is stocked with all the cooking pots and pans, toaster, etc you will need. The comfortable living room has a...

We loved this property and these cottages. I would have to say that it was probably our favourites out of all of our stays while in Australia. All of the 4 cottages are different yet each has its own charm. It's great to stay in a place where the owners have taken great care to create a comfortable stay. We...

Hi Hotelbaudin Thank you for your wonderful review and it's always great to hear that our guests have enjoyed their stay. The cottages are a great place for a group bookings, family reunions or birthday gatherings. And as you mentioned the common BBQ area is a great place for relaxing with food and a good wine and watching the sunset....

Loved our Stone cottage, it had everything you needed, could not fault anything. Just disappointed it didn't get cold enough to have an open fire. Lots of wildlife around the cottages and some lovely chooks wandering around. Very quiet most of the time, some animal noises from the Zoo next door, which didn't bother us at all and it was...

An unbelievable place views , wildlife chickens even noises from the zoo next door. I cannot believe the owners and their families wake up to this every day they are living the dream (in my opinion ).I would recommend this to family gatherings wanting a place with space yet still close.

Thank you Michael for your excellent review. I can't really disagree with you about living the dream, it really is a special place to wake up here everyday to the views that we have. Our overnight stay in the Stone Cottage was a highlight of our road trip between Adelaide and Melbourne. The location and views are magnificent. The cottage was just what we expected - a faithful recreation of a pioneer cottage but with some modern home-comforts and retro design elements. It had the delightful effect of making us feel half our ages!...

A totally relaxing weekend spent here. An open fire and lovely views. Very tranquil with wildlife abounding. A very rustic but comfortable house. Only slight down side is uncomfortable lounge. All amenities good.

These cottages in the Grampians are amazing. Kangaroos grazing in front of the door, chicken come curious to visit, very nice hosts, a fantastic national park around ... Here I could have stayed also 2 weeks. In contrast to previous reviews my bed (redgum log) was wonderful.

We stayed in the Mudbrick Cottage for 2 days for my boyfriends 30th. We are frequent visitors to Halls Gap but usually camp so were looking forward to enjoying the accommodation. Thank you for your review, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the views. We are currently replacing all mattresses in the cottages, a process which should be complete within the next month.
