Maybe a bit worn out but still nice and cosy hostel. Location is good so you can easily go shopping by foot and cook your meals in the kitchen. There are bikes for you to use and you can find kangaroos in the backyard! Tim has a dog.

Feels a bit worn and utilitarian when you first walk in - but give it an hour and it suddenly feels very cosy and homely! Nice little kitchen, free tea and coffee always a bonus! Good wifi. Great location - would definitely recommend.

Staying at Tim's Place was definitely one of the highlights of my seven months journey in Australia. The rooms are clean and tidy, the mountains are just a few minutes away for those who like hiking and Tim is really an amazing host. There are roos in the backyard EVERYNIGHT, seriously! And the place is surrounded by cockatoos and kookaburras....

Tim's place is a great budget place to stay. And close to all the walks and attractions. We stayed in a private dorm with ensuite bathroom which was perfect for what we needed. Beds were clean and comfy. Tim is very helpful and knows a lot about the surrounding area. On an evening the kangaroos come very close to the...

Did a solo trip through Melbourne and Victoria in 2009 and was a newbie to the 'hostel' experience. Took a single room at Tim;s Place and loved the warmth shown by Tim, the comfort and community of the people there, and the beauty of the surrounding natural walks and hikes. And Tim was a pal when he recommended another great...

I can't speak highly enough of this place; I've stayed here three times (always on the easter weekend) and it's always lovely. The staff are friendly, including Tim the owner. I like how environmentally friendly it is - they even have a compost bin in the communal kitchen.

One of the most beautiful hostels that I've been to in Australia. It's located in the middle of the National Park, a perfect location to discover the Grampians. We slept in a 5 bed dorm in a hut with own shower and toilet and even a double bed. Room and kitchen were clean. Tim was very friendly and helpful. There...

We had a great few days at Tim's Place, he is a very welcoming and friendly guy, he went out of his way to accommodate us and to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It was nice that he got to know everyone by name. You can tell he is really proud of his place and that is the reason...
