We stayed on Thursday and Friday night in a mountain view room, which had a superb view. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. On Thursday night we ate in the pub end of the building and had a great meal. On Friday we went for 3 shortish walks with Eda our guide. The rain spoiled the longer... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Garden room and it was located across the road from the main reception. It wasn't too far a walk. It was a cosy room that had a double bed and a single bed. The bathroom was very spacious and had nice toiletries too. However, the decor is slightly dated and not quite as modern... More

I have always wanted to stay at the Royal Mail at Dunkeld. I felt it was a bit overrated. We stayed at a mountain view roon at 290 a night. Good view but reAlly just a motel room. Nice meal in dining room. Good breakfast. Tea and coffee, easy, you would think but cold and a tea bag in a... More

We met friends at this hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday as all of us wanted to stay here. Rooms we were given were across the road and while spacious & comfortable there appeared to be little thought given to enhance the experience. For example, no chairs on verandah's, no magazines in room, tea & coffee available but no biscuits... More

We spent 2 nights at the Royal Mail. The apartment was wonderful, great views, comfy and a lovely wood fire. We woke to bird song , no traffic, no hustle and bustle. It was a great relaxing weekend. We ate at the dining room. A truly wonderful experience.

Room -This was fine. Quite a nice view. Dining - This was possibly the worst of any of the pretentious places in which I have dined, when no other place is available. The small to average portions of ill-matched items in each course were more Charlton than Blumenthal I'm afraid.

I dropped in here because the bar food had been recommended to me by a fellow hiker. It didn't start well, when i asked if they still had lunch on, and the onky response was 'yes'. No offer of a menu, no instructions on whether i should sit first or order first... so i asked for a menu. I was... More

We didn't think we would handle either the 5 or 8 course tasting menus so opted for ala carte - either two courses for $75 or 3 for $95. On top of our entree and mains order we were treated to five little appetisers then some 'green eggs and ham', as well as a choice of 5 different breads (with... More

We stayed for one night in September 2016 and very impressed with the service , from the moment we checked in, to the restaurant and checking out, very professional. The room was spacious and very modern and clean, bed was super comfy. The food is the best and the breakfast the next morning just as good. Would stay there again.

We stayed here on our Ozzy trip, in a "standard garden room", which in fact was one of a row of 2 or 3 bungalow type buildings across the road from the main building. The room was large and clean. The only downside was the regular sound of large lorries hurtling past throughout the night which may disturb light sleepers,although... More
