Beechworth is one of our favourite stops en route to Melbourne, and having discovered Barnsley House some years ago, we always stay at this superb B&B. Our most recent visit was a little different from our previous trips in that we brought along my 90-year-old mother-in-law. Steve and Eileen were, as always, extremely kind, and completely unfazed by the special...

Very pleasant old house, with engaging and friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast. Very clean room. Had a hot night but the air conditioning was very effective. Period charm. GreT place for a stopover or to explore the area.

We had a very pleasant 1 night stay at Barnsley House. Very comfortable room. Lovely breakfast. Amazing garden. Elileen and Steve love to chat. We went for a nice ride along part of the rail trail. Worth a visit. Beechworth is a lovely little town.

Despite arriving early for our one night stay, we were warmly met by Eileen - served a lovely cuppa with cake and some great chitchat! We traveled down to Beechworth for a couple of days to meet up with Eric Bogle who was performing at the Nicolas Hotel (great venue!) and booked into Barnsley House due to recommendations from family who had stayed there in the past. What a great tip that turned out to be. Gracious old lady (the house...) with luxurious accommodation, lovely...

A wonderful place to spend as a couple or with friends as we did. When we arrived, we were presented with a beautiful afternoon tea in the Conservatory, where we had home made orange cake with fresh cream, delicious. The rooms are all different but all old world. Everything was immaculate and nothing was left to chance. The wonderful owners...

We spent two glorious nights at Barnsley House Bed & Breakfast last weekend. Couldn't have been made more welcome. We arrived Friday afternoon to Eileen's scones with jam and cream, scrumptious. Our room was a delight and the bed was super comfortable. Eileen and Steve made us feel so welcome, fantastic hosts! Will be going back again!

We enjoyed three nights in this lovely old home in beautiful gardens, and felt so 'at home'. Our friendly hosts provided beautiful home cooked breakfast choices each morning, the room was warm and comfortable in chilly weather. Highly recommended.
