Panoramic harbour views are a highlight. Great food both at the Hotel and Doyle’s below. Beautiful walks to Hornby Lighthouse and the Gap cliff walk. And great service! Thank you Maisie, Donna and Albert!

We dined at the WBH last night and we’re very disappointed with the food. We ordered the seafood platter ($150) for three of us to share and a burger for my son. The burger was basically meat and cheese in a processed white bun. I’m sorry WBH but I haven’t seen such a sad looking burger since the high school sausage sizzle. We ordered the Seafood Platter because we’d shared it here a couple of years ago with friends from the US and had glowing memories of the abundance, the quality and the freshness of the seafood. Our platter last night could not have been more different. It was tired, it was colourless, in was scant and floating in water. Very disappointing and consequently overpriced! I think the venue has fallen into relying on the beauty of its stunning location and lost focus on the quality and presentation of their food which is too bad since it is such a beautiful location to take out of town guests. Take a picnic instead and see the sunset from the park. Or just get drinks and maybe some chips.
