I have stayed at the Best western Smokehouse Lodge about 5 times and it has always been a good experience....I love the entertainment at the Smokehouse restaurant and the food and the friendly atmosphere. This is hard to find.. Getting ready to come back in a few weeks.... Jan

We stayed in the Cabins We have been staying there for our anniversary for several years They are very comfortable and relaxing This time we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin not sure if it hadn't been used for awhile or just didn't take the time to check and do a good job

So sorry for your experience; maids must have overlooked or got side tracked to leave it this way. This is not up to our normal standards and we will follow up with you with a discount coupon for your next stay. More

I have stayed at the Smoke House on several occasions and they have worked hard to improve the rooms. The housekeeping staff does a very good job cleaning the rooms. On Friday 10.18.13 I had room #200, as soon as I walked in, the smell of cigarettes over-whelmed me. even though all rooms are non-smoking, housekeeping tried to spray, but... More

Well, we do have 7 smoking rooms, this is not one of them, but try keeping guest from smoking, it's impossible. If they want to smoke, we can't stop them. We try our best to clean up the rooms every time but we do have errors, just like anyone else. We are remodeling each and every room, #200 has not... More

The room we stayed in was recently updated. It was clean. We stayed on the front side of the motel, traffic was very noisy. The shower looked like it needed some work. I think based on other chains I've stayed in, it's about $30 cheaper but for the location of this Best Western, $89 on a Sunday night is still... More

I have stayed at the hotel before and this time opted for the Cabins. The cabin we had was set back away from the hotel area and was very nice. A real wood burning fireplace as opposed to the gas logs you normally find in a cabin was very nice. The restaurant serves good home cooked meals both on the... More

Excellent. This is our favorite hotel in the Midwest & East Coast. We stay here every time we have the chance. It is pet friendly so we are able to have our dog with us. The appearance is rustic. The rooms are clean. The restauarant has good country home cooking with a store that is fun to walk around to... More

Monteagle, Tennessee, just a few miles from The University of the South, Sewanee, makes it the go to hotel when visiting the university. Rustic decor, a decent restaurant and bar (with a kitschy gift/food shoppe with one-of-a-kind items) and friendly staff make it a pleasant place to stay. Nothing fancy, but clean and well-maintained. We have stayed there at least... More

Seems like you are paying tourist prices for everything in the restaurant, but not sure why...is Monteagle really a tourist destination? For us it was just a convenient stop between Nashville and Chattanooga. Both of which offer better accommodations for the same price. Hotel rooms were fine, although our door lock didn't work correctly, and the shower head was fixed... More

Best total value we've encountered in years if you like upscale unexpected value combined with down home facilities, screened porches with rocking chairs, full kitchen and abundant wood for wood burning fireplaces. Go during winter months to enjoy extensive hiking and a European Cathedral at nearby Sewanee University. Overall a pleasant surrealistic anachronism.

This Smokehouse Lodge was the coolest "hotel" we have ever stayed at! It really gave us a genuine Tenn. experience and we will for sure stay here again. The cabins were amazing! Perfect for a romantic getaway weekend.
