A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.

We were given a room at the very back of the hotel room 242 had a lovely view of a brick wall. Above us there was constant banging so the next day they moved us to a decent room with an outlook over Manly Oval.

We stayed for a week in a Superior room on the 5th floor. The size of the room was good but it felt very Spartan and soulless. We overlooked the school and even with the patio door shut you could hear the children in the playground first thing in the morning. Whilst the room was clean it felt quite basic for the price and in many areas the hotel looked very tired and things like the carpet really needs to be replaced as it’s either stained or frayed We had breakfast there once and it was very expensive and no more than ok. Flies were hanging around the buffet. We soon found close by restaurants to get breakfast with a view and much cheaper We ate in the restaurant once only. The menu felt limited and the staff were really miserable. In fact the staff in most cases in the hotel clearly didn’t enjoy their jobs. I suspect it’s because Manly is a tourist hotspot and many of the staff are backpackers so are only there for the money before they move on. The worst experience was in the pub restaurant which was horrendous where we had to chase up for one of our meals as 5 minutes after one arrived the other hadn’t. There was no sorry. We found out by the weekend that it is a bar aimed at youngsters having a noisy fun time. Not at all what we wanted In summation this hotel is confused and not sure what market it wants. It’s expensive because it’s Manly and by the beach only

Stayed for 4 nights in February and complained to reception on multiple occasions about the noise coming from the ground floor.Saturday night finally got to sleep at 2 am .Sunday noise started again at 9 pm,again complained to reception and nothing done,l then went to reception and again nothing done.At 11 pm l phoned the police and meet them at the site of the noise and they shut them down.Having to ring the police in an Accor hotel due to no action on behalf of the hotel is a disgrace. I was promised a $600.00 refund to be actioned immediately and 5 weeks later and 4 emails l have received nothing. My advice is don’t stay at this hotel, they have no respect for their customers and don’t honour their work.Dylan don’t reply the usual crap,Thanks for taking the time to write your review, everything you say is contrived blank, will never return.Colin from Melbourne

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now for business and the staff always try hard to please. Its an older property which has largely been refurbished but is sometimes let down around the edges. The rooms overlooking the beach are really good and falling asleep with the waves crashing is amazing. Bistro Manly is quite a good in house restaurant and the lobby even has surf boards for hire.
