Very happy with Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific - dress circle Manly location - the Beach is over the road! Friendly and attentive service from reception and wait staff! Bisto Manly, delightful French/Australian restaurant downstairs; Daniel San, Japanese/Australian fusion next door; Darna, top Moroccan restaurant very close. Manly Corso, and Power Living Yoga 200 m away and Manly Ferry, 600m - but no need to go anywhere if you're in Manly - highly recommended!!
Spent 2 nights here in a king ocean view room…. Very pleasant. Upon check in we were allocated a room on level 2. Large balcony, but no views of Manly Beach due to high walls along each side of the balcony…. Like a prison cell, plus all rooms above look down on your balcony … no privacy. Zali at reception acknowledged our situation and gave us a room on Level 4 … great views …. Very happy. Room was spacious and well equipped. Like most Novotel Hotels … a little tired looking. Package included free secure parking below the hotel. On site restaurant ( Bistro Manly ) is excellent. Staff are very helpful and friendly, special mention to Sophie and Rishy. Had a very enjoyable weekend and will return
Fabulously positioned hotel. Perfect for two ladies needing a break. We chose the family room with the two queen sized beds. Large room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. And wow what a view from the 6th floor. It’s not a new building but it’s well maintained with a lovely restaurant/bar. Too cold for a swim in their nice pool and spa. Great package with Luxury Escapes that I’d do again. Lovely staff also.
We stayed for four nights on “Luxury Escapes” package. The rate was much better than offered via other possible booking arrangements, particularly with the extras offered. (We paid $1092 for 4 nights in a “Superior King Ocean View" room including breakfast, free WiFi, a welcome drink each and a $30 per day food and beverage credit). The accomodation was spacious and functional, well equiped with comfortable bedding, a good size flat screen TV and other features associated with 4 - 5 star hotels. The view was exceptional directly overlooking Manly beach. We appreciated the storage available in both the room and bathroom with plenty of space to store everything. It was a bit "well worn” but in the scheme of things this did not detract from our experience. The staff were helpful and friendly and the bar and bistro matched the best standards. We particularly appreciated the availability of a freshly prepared omelettes and fried eggs and barista coffee, at no extra expense for breakfast. The fact that the bistro was booked out before we arrived on the Sunday night and then closed (except for breakfast) on the next two days of our stay was an inconvenience. Parking was in short supply on our arrival but the garage was manned by two staff who were taking keys and “stacking" the available space to fit everyone in. I suspect that with no overseas guests due to COVID the hotel was full of locals who arrived by car thus stretching the available parking. I did not ask, nor was I told until checkout, of the cost of $50 per day which although not unreasonable in Sydney was a bit of a surprise. The was some noise on the Sunday night with a full hotel and kids in adjacent rooms but many checked out on the next day, a public holiday Monday, and that fixed the issue. Like every stay in any hotel some things are better than others, but overall this all worked for us and in the ultimate test, we’d stay again. I had read many reviews before booking and whilst worn carpet and other wear and tear on room fittings was evident it really didn’t affect our stay, particularly at the price.…
Just checked out and all I can say it is the best Novotel I’ve stayed in so far because of the absolutely amazing service! Everyone very nice and friendly. From reception at check in, room service, restaurant staff...Really happy and highly recommended... Beach location superb...hoping to book again soon!
