Do not expect any kind of useful assistance from staff or management if there is any kind of issue with your booking or room. They are overly aggressive, unhelpful and extremely rude. When I arrived at the outback lodge I found out that the hotel had 2 bookings under my name. I had originally tried to book through expedia but...

Nice location on quiet street but still close to restaurants, etc. Our room was spacious with separate kitchen and bathroom but it did need a bit of a refresh. Staff very friendly - lovely ladies. Wifi was poor / intermittent on most occasions. I would stay again.

Thank you for the review and yes we definitely will be updating a lot of the apartments during our winter period to give it that really nice fresh look again - majority of apartments have already been upgraded but its always an ongoing thing, so hopefully we can welcome you back again once a lot of the upgrades are completed...

The room was tired but we deemed it adequate for the price. Air conditioning worked and was essential. What we didn't enjoy was the huge number of mosquitos in the room, although we discovered a can of flyspray under the sink. We made it clear on booking that our toddler was with us and requested a cot - I suggest...

Dear Guest, thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, however, we cannot do anything about mosquitos/flies that may occasionally want to come and visit hence the can of fly spray to deal with those situations, which can happen during heavy rain or hot sticky days. We do have some new staff members and apologies that one of them...

Staying at the Outback Lodge in Manly was one of our two most appalling travel experiences we have had to endure, the other was over 20 years ago in the Dominican Republic. We checked in at 2 o'clock and had to endure a receptionist complain about the heat even after she admitted she was paid to be polite and not...

Dear Guest, We certainly do appreciate your feedback and apologise for staff being downright honest about the 40 degree heat - it was an exceptionally hot day and quite understandable for anyone to comment like this whether they be staff or a guest - its our Aussie way!! Yes, the accommodation you specifically chose on booking.com was a budget 1...

Stayed here for work twice in the space of a week (two different rooms), as it was all the travel agent could find available. It was probably better than having nowhere to stay, but could have had a better stay sleeping on a friends couch. With an experience such as this I would generally approach management and discuss areas for...

Just a few of your points that I wish to clarify, our office hours are 9am to 8pm daily, you must have arrived outside our 8pm office hours, however, if guests arrive outside these office hours and we are advised, as requested on our website, arrangements are...

I stayed at The Outback Lodge for two nights only but I wish I could have stayed more. The Lodge is quiet and it's perfectly located. Staff was lovely and especially an italian lady I talked with for a couple of hours! Will definitely come back!

My friend and I were greeted by the wonderful receptionist Leesa around 4.00pm on Friday 2 December 2016. She had been most helpful and friendly with my phone enquiries and even guessed who I was before I said my name. The room was clean and bright with everything we needed. Even the clientele were friendly and joined us for a...

Our family celebrated our daughter 's birthday last night at Outback. Steaks were tender and delicious. Shrimp was also great. Always have to have a few coconut shrimp whenever I have dinner there. The waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. Great evening !

Housekeeping really needs to be looked at! Half bottle of Lift in the fridge, sand still in the shower cubicle & dirty linen for a 8yr old child to sleep on! Didnt meet requirements as per conversation with receptionist who said she'll pass on to management.

Thank you for your comments - I have spoken to staff member concerned and they advised they re vacuumed the timber floor when it was brought to their attention and all linen supplied was clean, It is unacceptable and I sincerely apologise. Unfortunately being close to the beach guests do bring a lot of sand inside the property, despite vacuuming...

Staying in Manly

Neighborhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
