What a place. We loved this place , the location is amazing with great views towards Sydney . The historical aspect was very interesting with its own museum and a private beach too. quite a lot of wildlife to be seen. Free coffee and tea in the lounge next to our room. The only drawbacks were the lack of aircon...

Where in Sydney can you stay in complete peace minus a few spirits floating around and visit a shore front with no people. The accomodation is very spread out and some rooms have the bathrooms external to the room that with kids or in winter would be interesting. The breakfast is reasonable without being great. But overall a good experience.

A step into history! Great private location looking over the heads at north Sydney. A great place to walk around. Staff friendly accommodation clean nice and fairly basic but more than adequate for our 2 nights. Shuttle bus to your room was certainly different. We enjoyed our stay.

Q-Station is wrapped in history...& it shows from the moment you arrive. This is not a place for the 5 star traveler used to instant service... As everything is shuttled in out & around, you have to plan a little ahead but the place functions wonderfully. It has all types of accommodation & it pays to know clearly what you...

Q Station is an old quarantine station located to the north of Manly up a steep hill at North Head. Accessible by car and bus although the bus does not run after 19.00 so it is a bit remote. As this is a nature reserve, cars are to be left in the main car park but mini buses which run...

What an interesting place!! I stayed there with my mrs for a weekend, and the main problem was we simply ran out of time. So much history, in such an amazing setting. We didn't get the chance to use the restaurant, but called in for a drink. It was absolutely packed, much to the disgust of the bar staff. The...

We stayed for 1 night (Sydney locals) for something different to do on a weekend. Booked a room with a view which was well worth it but be advised this place is basic. The rooms are small, the bed is small and you really can here a lot through the thin walls/surrounding verandahs. We really enjoyed watching the sunset Harbourside...

Firstly, if you are considering booking here be prepared for something a bit out of the ordinary. This is no ordinary hotel but in my view well worth the experience. The rooms are all in the original quarantine station buildings but are well modernised inside and contain everything you would expect in a four star hotel. There is no air...

We chose Room 23 in P12 which is in the second-class section of Q Station. There is no air-conditioning which could be an issue in very hot weather. However, it was no problem in our case. We had tea in our chairs on the verandah, and took in the wonderful views. We did not eat at Q, but would be...

An endless horrible experience. Be warned - there is no air conditioning, insufficient ventilation and a useless ceiling fan. Had no idea the Q stands for Quarantined! This is where they left people to rot. Now its where people who trust internet reviews of hotels get to suffer. Double booked our room, first tried to give us a unit with...

Staying in Manly

Neighborhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
