Located on North Head at Manly, Q Station offers unparalleled sweeping views of Sydney Harbour from Manly back towards the City and South Head. With over 70 buildings spread across 33 hectares, bring your walking shoes with you. We offer a shuttle service on site as no private vehicles are given access - so leave your vehicle at our carpark, jump on board and relax. Whilst here we'd recommend that you visit our Luggage Store Visitor Centre Cafe & Museum, as well as the Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant & Bar - both areas are very popular here.

My Husband and I stayed overnight at the Q Station - booked the Harbor view room - due to both of us using cap machines while sleeping - the historic accommodation could not be used due to the voltage. They placed up in the newer accommodation where we overlooked the water on a hill. It was further away from restaurants, historic cottages, wharf but it was peaceful with the wildlife birds, trees and shrubs. The shuttle bus came between 10-15 mins running 24 hours to get around. Everyone was extremely friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. No cars allowed on the site you park your car if travelling down next to the reception area. We did a lot of searching on the internet for a place that would suite our personality and this place was not ritzy but historic of the past. It has a museum of artifacts, fine restaurants. Yes we would go again.

We have not long returned home from a very relaxing and enjoyable break in the aptly named Isolation room area of the hotel. The nearby guest lounge and verandah had stunning views and was the perfect place to zone out after the recent lockdown. All the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much for any of them.

Good points * wonderful site * clean room * no cars on the property * historical interpretative signs Bad points * wrong location for breakfast given by reception at checkin * check in very slow despite no other guests present * no teaspoons in the room * although booked on ACCOR website while logged in with ACCOR membership, ACCOR points for the stay were not credited automatically without chasing it up * dropped off at wrong room by shuttle and had to hunt around for it carrying our luggage Neutral point * breakfast hot items were lukewarm, but this is historically authentic

After finally ticking it of a list of places to stay at and explore during restricted travel to support our local area we were so so so disappointed and will never return. Yes if you pick the right room they are renovated and spacious but not kept clean. Which was a shock in this climate. Our mattress was freshly urinated and stunk badly once I jumped into bed late on the first night. The night care taker dropped us keys to move next door for the night until it could be sorted the next day but showed no care factor or interest in the problem. Thank goodness for Nicola who was the only staff member to show care and concern. We even had the cleaners discuss the matter between themselves in the next room and mocked us for our complaints. After that we actually weren't comfortable staying there for the second night. It had spoilt our whole trip/experience. We did the history tour which was great and interesting which you can do without you staying there. To explore the area and views id recommend to just do a day trip. We were given complimentary items and a voucher to compensate which was appreciated but a refund would have been preferred. Bottom line lack of cleanliness especially in the current environment is unacceptable. We went online to sort with ACCOR & Qantas but hasn't been the easiest thing to do.
