Located on North Head at Manly, Q Station offers unparalleled sweeping views of Sydney Harbour from Manly back towards the City and South Head. With over 70 buildings spread across 33 hectares, bring your walking shoes with you. We offer a shuttle service on site as no private vehicles are given access - so leave your vehicle at our carpark, jump on board and relax. Whilst here we'd recommend that you visit our Luggage Store Visitor Centre Cafe & Museum, as well as the Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant & Bar - both areas are very popular here.

Q Station's picturesque setting in Sydney Harbour National Park is often celebrated for its stunning harbour views and proximity to natural beauty, a highlight for guests seeking a scenic getaway. However, the service received mixed reviews, with some finding it lacking and impacting their overall satisfaction. While the hotel's cleanliness receives commendations, its value is questioned due to basic rooms and amenities that some deem overpriced. The historic atmosphere, enhanced by natural surroundings and live music, provides a unique charm despite the underwhelming dining and shuttle services.

Shabby not chic. Old is fine bit there is no aircon, no opening windows and a ceiling fan. Can’t leave the doors that do open, open or a scrub turkey will trash your room like a league player on mad Monday. Bathrooms mouldy and everything was generally a bit dirty. Pity as the location is good.

It was 40’c today and none of the rooms have air conditioning! Our room is like a sauna. We bought the accommodation at a charity event, meaning we paid twice the price for our accommodation, the two couples checking in after us received upgrades, given we had a “gift voucher “ we were given a very average room. We won’t be back.

We booked in for one night in a heritage Harbour view room. As with all our trips, I checked out positive and negative reviews about Q Station prior to going. The positive reviews FAR outweigh the negative ones. Negative reviews are a good way to prepare yourself for possible problems. We took notice of the need to take your own drinks and snacks. We also took a power board after reading there was only one power point that powered the rooms mini fridge. We also threw in insect repellent to ward off the mozzie that people complained about. It's all about " the 6 P's" when it comes to planning time away. I can tell you, yes the rooms are basic, yes there are no windows to leave open except from the French doors into the room ( unless you're staying in the cottage options) but really, how many hotel rooms have opening windows. The views are amazing. The peaceful surrounds are perfect. The shuttle service around the complex works well and the staff are very friendly. We didn't do any of the tours on offer but will next time. The stairs down to the beach are manageable but I did catch the shuttle back up to our room. I would definitely recommend staying here.

A spectacular location in heritage buildings. We stayed in Queen heritage rooms with views of the harbour from the shared balcony in front of our rooms - the perfect place to read and watch the sunset. The rooms themselves are small, the only windows are in the French doors opening to the balcony - for privacy the curtains need to be drawn and the windows don’t open. There appeared to be a window above the doors that was slightly open. Ceiling fans are in the rooms (no aircon) but the one in our room was so loud that it was impossible to sleep with it on - a constant beat that made me feel like I was slightly crazy by the early morning. Very stuffy, warm nights. The beds are comfortable, the shower was hot and the bathroom clean. The shuttle buses worked well for us, including the bus to Manly and return. Food was a huge letdown - the Boiler Room restaurant was overpriced and a horrible meal, breakfast was average and tasted like it had been sitting for too long. The coffee from the machine at breakfast was truly awful. The wharf cafe was ok for lunch - but very busy with people there for a day at the beach. Rubbish bins were overflowing and it felt a little dirty. Bring your own drinks and snacks - it is a lot easier and more accessible as everything is a decent walk from the rooms. Also head into Manly for meals - we had a wonderful breakfast at the Boathouse at Shelly Beach. The history tour was wonderful and so informative. Emily was a lovely guide and so very helpful and patient with people on the tour who had some mobility issues. Staff were generally friendly and really helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our time here but would make sure we brought our own food and drinks and possibly a portable fan if we visited again.

Location is outstanding, rooms don't have air-conditioning or flyscreens ,do not stay in summer...fans are inadequate.. Beach is good..probably a two star hotel.. The people staying next door where kept up until 12pm because of a wedding in one of the function centres right outside our rooms, which by the way have air-conditioning.. Well. Not sure what to think. It’s all well and good to use the Sydney seaside backdrop as a place to accomodate people but there are many issues with this place lagostically. Firstly the poor staff running people around constantly in shuttle busses. There might be a period where a hybrid or electric transportation would work well. Getting to anything is a struggle walking and in typical Accor management fashion they shut every facility down at around 11pm which is quite difficult if you feel a nice nightcap may be nice down by the water. So I suggest if anyone stays here. Bring your own alcahol and enjoy the beach and grassed area with your own supplies.

Our stay was over five nights in a king room that had a king comfortable bed, an attached small room that contained a mini bar fridge and desk. The ensuite was large and shower was great. The stay could be best described as rustic and unique with a very interesting history of early Australia and how the quarantine station was very important over a 100 years. The early indications were that there were ghost evident and we must admit on one night there were strange sounds in our room, I guess we got our monies worth :-). Our car with numerous others were parked at the front gate as there were no access for private vehicles. Shuttle buses were excellent in moving people around and we took advantage of the afternoon shuttle down to Manly to experience the sunset and restaurants'. Hint: The Bavarian restaurant has a 3 hour discounted drinks with large steins of beer, spirits and wine included. An informal restaurant onsite for dinner would be great, however if you can afford it the formal restaurant near the jetty is excellent. The only con we had was the numerous people attending workshops and team building. We enjoyed an afternoon of sitting on the old-fashioned verandah with a wine overlooking the Manly harbor, however on one occasion the company people doing team building was a bit off-putting, with the screaming and yelling. Otherwise, we enjoyed out stay, the guided historical walk was excellent and walks outside the complex up to North-Head are worthwhile, however watch for snakes in bushy areas. Don't forget to visit the Historical cemetery and take some time to walk amongst the graves.

We stayed for 2 nights last year. The ' ocean view delux' room was not ocean view. The room does not have screens, we hardly slept due to mosquito attack. It was in autumn time. This place is really good IF you really have to quarantine or need to be away from day to day life, just read in rooms etc. Hard to go to grab food in Manly as you're not allowed to bring your car. Theres no microwave in the room. Whole place reminded me of scout camp cabin ( only the reception area was nice and updated). If you pay that much money, I don't see,any positives staying there unfortunately.

The cleanliness of Q Station is seriously questionable. During my visit, I noticed cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dirty utensils on the tables, and an overall unkempt appearance. This neglect towards cleanliness is simply unacceptable.

Ok, there is a lot to unpack here. We came for my Mum's 70th birthday, she has always wanted to come here and it was her dream. If she was writing this review, I think she would have listed it as 4 stars, rather than 3. For me, let's list it all and be really honest. First off, the stuff I loved. Price is very reasonable, we had 3 adults and 3 teenagers, accommodation for one Saturday night was just under $600 and included breakfast. The rooms were lovely, and the surrounds and views to die for. It was a bit tight with one bathroom and a glorified kitchenette. The area is truly extraordinary. The views of the extended harbour and surrounds, gorgeous national park, lovely well manicured lawned areas. Truly amazing. The dinner at the boilerhouse was awesome and I do mean awesome. We loved the food, server, matching wines and everything in between. Amazing. For the not so good... You need to park at the top and can't drive your belongings near your accommodation. This would be ok, if the hotel would bring the luggage to your room, but they won't . You must drag it yourself via the shuttle buses. Our room wasn't ready, they said that we couldn't drop our bags near the room, or if we dropped our bags at reception, no one would bring them to the room, we would need to catch the shuttle, back up the hill, collect it and return. Even though check in time is 2pm and they were late... As we had a tour booked at 3pm, I said, what if we took our luggage to the tour Centre, left it there and got the key after, they said, ok. We needed a bite to eat and decided with the only option, the cafe near the wharf, that is where we would stop. The cafe was half closed (2pm), food was spare, and expensive. Coffee was terrible. Such a shame, anyway we wait for the tour. the Museum is small, but free and you can use 5 mins whilst waiting the waves. Our guide was great if you ask my Mum, not so great if you ask me, my partner or the kids. Maybe it was a generational thing, anyway, the tour made my Mum very happy and we rang for the shuttle and went back to the room. Breakfast the next day, we called the shuttle bus as the views restaurant was miles away from our room, 25 mins later, it hadn't showed up, we called again and it arrived. The views breakfast restaurant was so busy, and so noisy. Selection was normal and ok, but quality not great, every other item was not up to par. I'm so torn about this place. The scenery, atmosphere and potential are literally out of this world, the service, not great. Some service lovely (shuttle bus drivers truly lovely), just over worked. Couldn't check in in time, waited for shuttles a lot sometimes, this really takes away from the experience, whilst we loved the food at the Boilerhouse, it is dinner only, the cafe and breakfast restaurant were subpar. The breakfast 3 stars, the cafe 1. One toilet for 6 people staying together... I wish I could rank it higher, and in the future I may
