Recently stayed overnight at Sydney Beachouse YHA at Collaroy. We are a family with two young kids and thought we were past youth hostels. However we are converted again with this one. Great location right near beautiful Collaroy Beach and only 10 minutes drive from Brookvale Oval to see the mighty Eagles play. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable....

No trip would be complete to Sydney unless you go to the North Sydney Beaches. The PERFECT place to stay is Sydney Beachouse (aka Collaroy) because it is a MINUTE walk to mile long white sand beaches. If you go to the book at this YHA location be sure to book in advance and use YHA eNights to SAVE $$$...

Stayed here 3 times in all over the past year. Very friendly staff, always willing to help. Rooms are good and clean. Toilets are usually clean (apart from Friday and Saturday nights but that is bound to happen) Sinks were covered in hair a few times which wasn't pleasant but overall a great place to stay. Great location with beach...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad your stay was enjoyable, but sorry the bathrooms were at times messy. In a place where many people share the facilities, it is hard to keep things clean and tidy all the time. However, our cleaners do come through very early each morning to clean all the...

I arrived at Sydney Beachouse back at the begining of February with the intention of staying for a week and 2.5 months later I am still there. I can safely say it has become my 'home away from home' the location is brilliant with Collaroy beach right on your doorstep, shops, restaurants and a bar a stones throw away it...

My wife and I are around 30 and stayed at this hostel. It was very nice except for a few things (the toilets smelled, you had to pay for your dining wear, etc...). It is located about an hour away from the downtown and the area is pretty slepy. Other than that it's great! There is a great TV room,...

I stayed here back in February 2011 initially for 3 days and ended up staying for 3 months. Since then I have travelled the majority of Australia and always end up coming back to here- it is what I regard as home whilst on my travels. The hostel has a great atmosphere for families and travellers with a little for...

Took the family to this place, using the family rooms. We found the place to be great. Well equipped kitchen, nice small swimming pool for the kids and the beach very close by. We were there over new year, 1st of January the staff ran a free sausage sizzle. We were a bit worried this would be full of noisy...

We are so glad you had an enjoyable stay with us. Many people think that youth hostels are noisy places, but this is not always the case. We really want to encourage families to come and enjoy the Northern Beaches, whilst staying in clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation. We stayed with our 3 adult children in a family room over Christmas for 4 days. I had paid for 5 days but we decided to leave early. The beds had uncomfortable foam mattresses. I put 3 quilts under our double bed mattress to try and soften the impact of the slats on my back. The last night was better...
