We stayed here for about 10 days and we loved it! The staff was really friendly and as we hade some problems with our door we changed room to a family roomwich was pretty cool! The facilities are clean and it is just a 50m walk away from the beautiful beach and a 30 min bus drive to Manly. I... More

I was here with Australian backpackers (dutch organization) and we had a great time. It's clean, good location kind staff and nice facilities. Just 2 minutes from the beach, 4 minutes to the bottle shop, supermarket. Really nice time

We stayed here for 10 nights and this is a great hostel! This has a very clean kitchen area and all people staying seemed friendly! We stayed in a room of 4 which was clean but didn't get cleaned whilst there apart from New bedding for new guests and a bin change. There seems to be something on offer everything... More

My mum and I have stayed in this hostel several times over the years, and each time have been impressed with the friendly and helpful staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the willingness of James to go above and beyond reasonable requests to accommodate a disabled person. On this occasion the disabled room was not suitable for my mums... More

The first hostel I stayed in. Thought it was pretty clean. Receptionist were helpfull and nice. Every thursday (high season) a new group of Dutch people come, because it is the 'home' to an organisation Australian Backpackers. Really nice people. Hostel is a nice place. Not so much to meet new people. One main area which serves as a dining... More

Good hostel, bit to far from the city but close to some nice beaches and the Narrabeen lakes! The rooms where clean but the WiFi was slow. Good kitchen and huge coolerroom. The pool is a bit tiny but you would be spending more time at the beach anyway!

Clean rooms and bathrooms but most disgusting kitchen I have seen so far. You also have to put down a ten dollar deposit to get a plate and cutlery. Service was average, but they don't include services like free luggage storage and stuff like that, which is a given at any other hostel I've been to. If you wanna see... More

Dear Rosa, Thanks for your feedback, and sorry you didn't 100% enjoy your stay. Our hostel is great for working holiday makers, as there are lots of jobs in the area, and for those wanting Australian beach culture we are a great spot. However, we are not so close to the city, so travel is problematic if you want to... More

Far from city center. It's like one hour with public transport to get to the city center. This will cost you approximatly 10$ one way. Small rooms but they are okay on the first floor. On the ground floor some rooms don't have windows.

This was back in September 2009. But I lived here for 3 months on first arriving in the Country from the UK. Was a very comfy hostel, with friendly staff and at the time a bunch of amazing people. At the time we could also hire bikes and surfboards, and there was always a great choice of evening entertainments. Is... More

I was one of the first to stay at Collaroy YHA when it opened a decade and a half ago and have been back many times since. The hostel as a general rule is clean- save for the ever-present beach sand in the communal showers. I don't cook when I'm there, so no reports on the kitchen, save for getting... More
