Stayed here three nights in October 2024. Room no 1701 is a high floor corner with great view of the Atlantic Ocean. The room has two well placed and secure lanais that invited a fabulous breeze into our room as we slept to the sound of ocean surf. This room has a fully furnished kitchen which included all service wares and even a dishwasher. The room was very clean and well maintained. All staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There are limited dining options (one restaurant that shares in-room dining menu), however the food options were ample and diverse enough and were prepared satisfactorily. The beach is clean and there were smoke chairs for all guests during my stay. The only minor negative was that hot water for tub or shower seemed scarce throughout the day with the only exception being one day when I might have arose before most other guests. Honestly all of the other positives greatly outweighed this single issue and as such I didn’t even bother mentioning it to the front desk. I was here for business but I enjoyed the hotel enough to come back for pleasure.

This is our third time staying at Marenas but this time we were with the whole family (including our two year old grandson) and had a two bedroom suite. The hotel is very clean and situated within walking distance to restaurants, Publix, pharmacies, and kids' parks. Kitchen was well stocked with plates/cutlery/cooking pots/dishwasher with detergent and came with a very useful washer/dryer. Anything we asked for....crib, highchair, extra towels were ready when we arrived. The staff at the front desk, valet, housekeeping and beach were courteous and always ready to help us with our needs. We particularly appreciated one of the beach staff (Yosel A.). He always greeted us with a smile, setting us up with chairs/towels and umbrellas. The hotel even provided many sand toys for kids to play with. As for the construction next door, our rooms faced the other side and we didn't hear any noise and even while on the beach, the waves from the ocean pretty much took over as a background sound. The two bedroom suite is very well set up with three full bathrooms and one of the bedrooms is separate from the side with the kitchen/living room and other bedroom so you don't hear any activity from that side of the place, if someone wants to sleep in. In fact we've always found the hotel rooms to be quite soundproof.
One thing I must say is that the Marenas website should contain a better picture of their fitness room. There is a lot of exercise equipment, much more than is shown on the site and my son-in-law particularly loved his work out there and made good use of it.

The location of Marenas Beach Resort is very good, at the top end of Collins Avenue, which goes all the way down to Miami South Beach. Sunny Isles Beach itself is fairly upmarket, there are one or two very good hotels and several like the Marenas, good 4 star hotels in between large luxury condos. There are many restaurants and shops nearby, the Aventura Mall is a short drive and the larger Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall is a few miles away. We took a 2 bed suite in this hotel. impressively spacious for a 4 star hotel (about 100 sq metres) and in very good condition. Good size double beds, comfortable, and a cot for my 1 year old grandson was no problem. I am allergic to duck feathers, I notified the hotel in advance and they changed our pillows before we arrived. The hotel's beach was very good, attentive beach boys and miles of sand. Service desk were helpful, but on a few occasions - when the staff changed round - the messages were lost and we had to remind them what we wanted. We had a bay facing suite - both sides of the hotel face water, but the extra cost of a sea facing room was not really worthwhile. We did have side views of the sea, but the bay is more interesting. The hotel room prices are very competitive, try the hotel website first and then compare with other offers. The main con we had was that access if you don't have a car is difficult, you have to climb stairs to get up to the hotel. There is a disabled lift designed to help, but it was not available. The other con was that the pool was out of use, being repaired for a burst pipe. When it is usable, it is tiny in relation to the number of rooms and potential hotel guests. A knowledge of Spanish would be useful, as the cleaning staff did not seem to understand English. My Spanish does not extend beyond "manana", it was not the right word to use when wanting to have the room cleaned in one hour. One final warning; a new luxury apartment block is in the course of construction next to the hotel. The main works had not started whilst we were staying in the Marenas, but might be noisy when the bricks and cranes move in.

My husband and I, we’ve had our wedding anniversary. We were very happy to see our “room” which in reality was a very large apartment (2 bathrooms, all equipped kitchen, Landry room, living room, sleeping room, a huge dresser with a safe box and a big balcony) If I will stay to speak just about the view, I will not finish this note soon 🫣 The girls who helped us with the cleaning, they were excellent people, they never complained and always had a big authentic smile on their faces. The valet guy, was a very polite and always in time to help us. The guys who are cleaning the beach and are in charge with the towels (on the beach), they are working very hard to make everyone to feel comfortable and safe. Theses guys are working all the daylong in a scorching hot weather to keep us safe while we are on the beach (not to get any dangerous things from the sand like sharp objects or anything else that can be hidden inside the sand) We want to thank to all of the Marenas’s team, but especially, we want to thank to Enzo Medina, who’s one of the guys who is cleaning up the beach and making all his best to keep everyone happy on the beach. Wow! What an amazing resort this place is. My friends and I were extremely satisified with this place. The front desk staff was so warm and welcoming allowing us to leave our bags with them when we got there before check-in. Once we checked we were offered glasses of champagne which was a very luxurious touch. The room we stayed in was incredible. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bayfront suite which was the perfect size for 6 adults. We loved the huge balcony where we could tan out in the afternoon when the beach got shaded or take pictures watching the sunset. The bedrooms and bathrooms were extremely clean and spacious. Also, we loved it had pots and pans to cook some nights and had a dishwasher we could use to clean dishes, cups, etc. As for the amenities, the resort pool area was beautiful. We loved the pool bar where they made the best frozen and strong drinks. 10/10 recommend getting the empanadas they were delicious. The pool staff and beach staff couldn't have been any nicer bringing our food and drinks wherever we were sitting. Even though we did not get lounge chairs, the Rio beach chairs were a great alternative and we loved sitting by the water on them. The location of the resort is honestly an amazing location in Miami close to everything but also gives you a private/boujee getaway from the hustle of South Beach. I highly recommend for families and groups of friends. We are looking forward to making another trip at the resort in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

1. Relocation of the Marenas Resort access route sign on Collins Avenue. It is not visible from a medium distance and lends itself to being overlooked. 2. Enlarge the vehicular access, slightly undermining the curb so that entering vehicles can do so more easily towards the steep ramp 3. Installation of a footbath when leaving the beach in a place similar to previous years and not as it is now located above the guests who are in the jacuzzi. Guests must now wash their feet in the pool shower. 4. Featured personnel to be mentioned, the night concierge Mr. Luis and all the front staff in general, the parcel and luggage manager Mr. Eric, the Valet Parking Managers Mr. Juan Carlos and Mr. Álvaro and the young people from the beach service Miss Valeria Ericil, Mr Keneth Kuan, Mr Facundo Coniglio and Mr Jean Pierre, among others, very good, polite and helpful

No one really speaks English fluently, not the staff, not the car valet, not the guys who help you with your bags.
We checked in on a Friday and checked out on a Monday. We couldn't get into our room until 4:00 and they refused to permit a 1:00 checkout on Monday, saying the hotel was fully booked. The hotel was approximately 25% full. Furthermore, our room was never cleaned until the afternoon, even though I informed the staff that I wanted it cleaned sooner. No real reason not to accede to our request.
Lastly, look at the fine print on the receipts for food and drink....there was already a gratuity of 19% on it, which I failed to notice and tipped 29% on top of that.
One more thing, this hotel is a Latin American, family vacation spot, lots of Spanish speaking young kids running around and taking over the rather small swimming pool. If you're looking for a quiet resort, this is not the spot. Btw, this is not a knock on Spanish speaking people. We are fluent in Spanish....just didn't think we would be in the minority at the hotel

Due to the nature of our international guests, particularly Spanish-speaking visitors, many of our staff members also speak Spanish to ensure we can accommodate all of our guests effectively. We apologize if this caused any inconvenience during your stay. Regarding the check-in and checkout process, we understand your concern. Our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM, and while we do our best to accommodate early check-in requests, the availability of rooms can sometimes be limited. In your case, we were unable to offer an earlier check-in. Additionally, we strive to provide a timely check-out, but as mentioned, our hotel was operating near full capacity during your stay, which is why we were unable to honor a late checkout request. Our occupancy has been over 90%, not 25%. In terms of the gratuity, we always aim to be transparent about charges. The 19% gratuity added to food and beverage bills is a standard practice, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion. We appreciate your additional tip, but please note that the included gratuity is meant to cover service costs. Lastly, we understand your comments about the atmosphere of the hotel. There seem to be 2 main types of rooms; ocean view and City view. We chose a 2 bedroom suite on the city side by way of price and preference; both have views of water, but there is far more activity on the city side. Miami is full of inland waterways.
All rooms seem to have balconies, so no difference there.
There are more places to choose from in the Sunny Isles Beach area.
