Firstly , if you are are looking for a high end resort, this will not be for you and you have multiple other options within a walk, at extremely high end prices. If you are looking for a simple base, with access to a pool, food , drink, and a beach that you can be on in the sun for most of the day, this could be for you. So many of the high rises mean that after lunch , you are effectively sat in another buildings shade, this happens way less here as the expensive hotels are within touching distance, not so much here as there is still a gap on one side of the building with no high rises. It’s a hotel built in the 50’s when motels were evolving, so it’s old and won’t be here probably in summer 2022. What we got was a really good value pool side room 2nd floor, could see the ocean, had everything we needed, walk to multiple shops, restaurants, and bars, car hire etc You are beachfront, decent pool, restaurant and 2 bars . We were only in the room to sleep , beds were big enough , comfortable , fridge, stove, sink and kitchen which we actually didn’t use. If you want a great time at good value and aren’t looking for 4* luxury with great location it may work for you. Bus stops outside, Aventura Mall in 5 mins, South Beach in 35-50 depending on time of day at $2.25 - same fare to Downtown Miami. Plenty of local options by foot for food , public CVS, Navarro across the street. I stayed twice in November and December, 13 Nights each time, never saw a bug , had no issues - my room was not serviced ( bed not made on a couple of occasions, but towels replaced, bin emptied ) not a catastrophe. The bars can be lively with a mix of locals , residents and French Canadians, live music at weekends . It certainly won’t be for everyone, do your research and come and enjoy it before you HAVE to stay 1 night for the price of 5 and sit in the shade after 12.30 😆🤫 .

Is this a 5 ⭐️ resort, no. Is it horrible, no. This was a spur of the moment vacation and all the hotel prices were crazy expensive with it being a holiday weekend. I was sceptical about the reviews but really, it was already more than we wanted to pay but I went ahead and booked. I expected the worst. It’s an older hotel but is under construction so they may be improving it. We booked a superior room because it advertised an ocean view. Room 216, we can see the ocean but it’s mostly a pool view. It had a balcony and 2 queen beds that were extremely comfortable. The bathroom is dated but what do you need?! The shower was only lukewarm so that was disappointing. The a/c comes through an old vent and to control it, you have to stand on a chair and open/close it. The hotel advertises a free hot breakfast but it’s only toast, coffee and juice. You can get a $2 off coupon for a full breakfast. We never used the pool but it was decent size. The entertainment was so fun!!! We got in late Friday night and wanted to eat so we went to one of the bars on site. There was a man singing and playing electric guitar. People were dancing and having the best time. It was so much fun just to listen and people watch. We never went to the other bar but could hear people sounding like they were having a great time. The on-site restaurant is typical hotel prices. The pizza was just ok. It also advertised a hot tub but we never saw one. One major negative was the parking. It was $18/day across the street. $20 for onsite/valet but it was just parking in the front of the hotel. We only rented a car for 1 day due to this. We ubered most of the time. All and all, not horrible but not the best either.

Everything is run down. Rusty, filthy. Bathrooms highly unsanitary. Pool chairs you will fall through. Felt unclean. I only stayed bc everywhere else was super expensive to change to last minute. Good location, but so dirty and run down. Forgotten piece of property it seemed. Elevator that does not work. Rude front desk staff. Loud bar scene at night. No thank you.

I have never stayed at such a low maintained, unprofessional, dirty outdated hotel in all my years. For starters, you pay $20 for parking, however the parking is limited so even if you pay the $20 for ON SITE parking, there may not be a spot available. Leaving you to go across the street at no rate reduction. Then the room during check in was so dirty, the towels were used and we had to request fresh one, which took well over 90minutes and the beds were stained. The restroom ceiling in our room had major water damage from the room above us, making the ceiling fill with water and flood the entire bathroom/hall way area. Damaging personal property and all our clothes/luggage. When we asked to move rooms due to the water damage in the room, we were told the hotel was fully booked for our stay. So we had to spend two nights in a room flooding, with the ceiling crashing down and unable to use the restroom/shower in fear that the ceiling would fall on us. The hotel during this time was very unprofessional. I called the front desk a few times during my stay requesting to speak with the manager in regards to the room they had me in and could not move me from. The manage during the two and a half days i was there never once, emailed or called me. This place is ridiculous and disgusting. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! 1/10 rating. This hotel is more like a motel, i have seen super 8s cleaner than this.

We stayed at this hotel 10/28/21-10/31/21. The hotel is very old and dated. Our room was not good at all. The rug was worn and dirty. The bathroom was so small a person could barely turn around in it. The dropped ceiling was loose and tiles kept falling off. We stayed because it was only 3 nights and we were traveling in a group. Moving the whole group would have been difficult. The $20.00 per day parking charge was not disclosed on our reservation. The only restaurant was basic at the very best. Sadly, just not a good choice. The positive though is the beach is right outside the back door and past the pool. Very convenient to the beach.
