On the picturesque Bay of Rincon de Guayabitos in the state of Nayarit, just 55 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport amidst a typical fishing village, Hotel Decameron Los Cocos is the ideal place to experience the most spectacular family holiday. Its white beaches and crystal clear water contrast with the bright colors of the hotel's architecture. We have 4 pools throughout our installations, 3 of which are suitable for children, and over 100 meters of beaches. Experience the international and typical dishes you can find at the La Bamba, La Canoa and El Tropical Restaurants, or enjoy the most delicious drinks at the disco or at the bars on the beach, like La Iguana and Pelicanos. During the day you can enjoy different recreational activities like non-motorized water sports, kayaking, sailboats and a catamaran, a massage parlor, and tennis, basketball and beach volleyball courts.

My wife and I arrived on New Years Eve, check-in was quick. We were Cocos 4, just up the hill from the Main Lobby. Some stairs that weren't a problem for us but might have been for less mobile folks. Big room that was older but very clean, smallish bathroom and shower, huge bed

Great location. Although an older place very clean and well kept( could use some updating though). Buffet was alright nothing fancy but always could find something. The price is so reasonable that we ate very few suppers at resort as there is so many great restaurants around.

We took the transfer bus offered in our vacation package and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes from the start of the drive to arrival at the hotel.. It was in the afternoon so could have been affected by traffic patterns in general. Still no matter what time the trip will take at least an hour or even an hour and a half. That being said it was a pleasant drive, time to see the area, the vegetation etc.

Tripsadvisor doesn't seem to allow the posting of e-mail addresses, but I Googled the Decameron, got contact information, and e-mailed a women in Guadalajara I think. I got an answer within minutes.

Sorry for late reply. I’m not sure about exact amount, but we paid 500 pesos ( 495 ? ) for 10 days. I’m not sure, if they charge us for 9 or 10 days.

We had a package from Air Transat and the transfer to and from the hotel was included. Tell her to completely ignore the people offering their services inside the airport. Get outside and you will see the buses across the parking lot. Or ask anyone on the plane if they are going to the Decameron and ask them if you can follow them to the buses. I am sure anyone would love to help a "first timer" run the timeshare gauntlet.
