We were more than thrilled with our stay at Pal Mar. We arrived early from a cool morning in Tlaquepaque, so not quite dressed for the heat. The staff were quite accommodating as we left our luggage in the office expecting to wait several hours for our room. They texted us at noon! The room was absolutely gorgeous...very new, very clean & fresh. Air conditioning quickly cooled the room. Water was left in the fridge along with a filtered tap in the sink. Every time we passed the front desk, the attendant was always cheerful. I would return in a heartbeat!
From the moment we checked in and throughout our stay we were treated so kindly from the front desk staff to housekeeping! The owners have thought of so many details in the design of the place and the lush landscaping was so nice to enjoy from our balcony. We loved the location and being close to the main street but far enough away from most of the noise. The neighbors can be somewhat noisy in the evenings, it was loudest on Saturday night. Luckily I took the advice of someone's suggestion and brought earplugs. But hey, its Mexico so roosters, parties, and people selling stuff from their cars over speakers is all part of the charm. I would definitely go back to this cute, clean boutique hotel in a heartbeat.
We spent 3 nights in the "comfort studio" on our first visit to San Pancho. Our room had a small kitchenette and was on the ground floor with a nice little patio area. As you can see in the photos, the rooms are beautifully updated and furnished with many nice touches - including filtered drinking water from a tap in the kitchen sink. We booked on line and I called the day before to confirm. Every aspect of booking and checking in was perfect. The room was spotless as was the entire property. The gate to the hotel is closed at night with access via an electronic code. The hotel is located about a block from the main street and about 2 blocks from the main beach area. Everything we needed or wanted to do in town was close at hand. There is a craft brewery a few doors away. We were there for the opening night of the winter season with music on the street out front. When we returned to the hotel, we could not hear a thing. We really enjoyed that the hotel property was very quiet and serine. My only regret is that we did not stay here longer. We loved San Pancho and this hotel!…
The Pal Mar Hotel is an excellent value. The staff is friendly, and a family run hotel just a few short blocks away from the beach located on a quiet side street. The new owners Juan and his wife recently renovated the property and the rooms are spacious - all with air conditioning and lovely grounds. Juan and his wife were great and very accomodating and knowledgeable about the local area. This was my first trip to San Pancho after several trips to Sayulita and found it a much more low key atmosphere and more like what Sayulita may have been like 20 years ago, etc. Highly recommended!
From the minute we arrived we were pleased with our decision to stay at the Pal.Mar, the service, grounds, staff, our amazing ground level floor - exceeded our expectations. The room had a large king size bed, lovely bathroom and even a tree growing through our living room. The kitchen was perfect, outside patio stunning and the pool a welcome dip from the heat. Thank you, highly recommended and we will return.
